Found this interesting:

...whether a traditional tight end even sees the field is a big question.

That's true at Virginia Tech, where head coach Justin Fuente is in the paradoxical situation of having a potential first-team All-ACC tight end in Bucky Hodges, but says one of the big questions on his offense is whether the Hokies will employ a tight end.

Say what?

"They line him up wide most of the time," one ACC coach said, "which is a good way to get some all-conference votes."

So annoying with the Radio Announcements...I was glad the segment was still going on that he talked a little more about the Hokies and glad to see he has the fire to lead his high school team also.

This was a great pick up for the 2017 class. Fuente is already making strides in-state; let's hope he keeps a few more guys in-state.

Take always from today:

1: dramatic-ish finish from road cycling, two of top three riders and one in pursuit all crash in final descent toward finish.

2: that French gymnast's leg! I wish I understood Spanish better because when I would assume they would say this is a graphic video I didn't catch it and watched that poor dude's leg flop everywhere.

Funny you mention this... I saw this comment by krak_t when doing a search for hk yesterday...

Do you have a capacity for vocabulary that doesn't include swearing so much? I'm no shrinking violet, but if this site had an ignore feature, I'd be sorely tempted to put you on it based on how many of your posts drop the f-bomb, much less the consistent, (and consistently phrased), lesser swear words.

And it can be used to describe both. They may be the same person or they may be different, but regardless, the same posting style is showing up 2 years later and it's gotten to the point where there regulars are starting to talk.

fernley, I usually agree with you but I don't think it's necessary to resort to personal attacks here. Thanks for making the edit. Have a leg.

We also have to realize that it is entirely possible there are two very similar but distinctly different Hokies fans frequenting the interwebs. It could be the same guy or it could very easily be someone else. Potty humor and a sex drive are not all that uncommon.

And thank you for yours. I am from a military family, Mom and Dad both served, Dad did 20 years and a couple of wars, and I was born on the Naval Academy. I, on the other hand, was lucky enough to escape the jungle for a job in a NATO HQ in Germany, but I knew several that did fight, and lost a couple of acquaintances. My biggest fear when I was in was that they would suddenly see fit to ship me to the fray. Unlikely, but when you are in the Army, they can do what they will with you. I sure was glad to get back to school and while I didn't excel, I was never again about to flunk out. My priorities were somewhat rearranged by the real world and I wanted to postpone my return to it as long as possible.
