you and me both. they are the same person. Remember when Joe stated that his account was deactivated but not outright banned.

Then two months later or so this guy pops up and starts the same stuff.

a) annoyingly doesn't get it: check
b) always talks about poop or taking a shit: check
c) constantly turns everything sexual: check
d) has some idiotic nickname for every team/school: check
e) annoyingly doesn't get it: double check

Bender can't stop being Bender.

EDIT: Changed because I respect VPIhokieME too much. thanks for pulling me back from the ledge.

Saw this. They need somebody. They lose when Romo plays, and they lose even more when Romo is injured.

I think the kid versus adult is more about how the situation should be treated. For me I see high school as underage and college as adult. I would say that he was given his chances and it seemed he was still going to be given his chance. So treating the situation like adult is understandable.

Net positive messages are good and I do understand your point about recruiting. But I do think there is an argument for releasing this info:
a) As I stated below, Fuente is in his 1rst year, could be he felt it more important that it be known that all is right in Blacksburg and this was a player specific character issue.
b) Fuente who seems a no nonsense guy was giving Lawson his chances, and even though Lawson was about to be suspended, he still had a chance to serve that suspension and move on, hopefully for the better and he choose not to. If as you say this has been the rumor for months then there was something there and perhaps Fuente and he spoke and came to an agreement, which led to Lawson staying (explaining Day 1 participation) but Lawson had other plans and threw a curveball. If I was Fuente I would make an example out of players doing that.

now here's the problem, it's all speculation. The negative recruiting line is speculation as are both of my excuses. So I think you have to consider this at face value. Fuente is coaching a team of players. One screwed up, or has continued to screw up, and decided to leave. Fuente released the facts. He was given every opportunity and he was going to be suspended for failed drug test. Nothing about that is getting thrown under the bus. That's just called accountability. Tough love is the hardest to take, but it's a great lesson for those on the team that are there for the right reasons.
