In the game that is a coaching change, roster spaces will be cleared. Relying on all sources I've been exposed to, Lawson came up the odd man out.
Motley is in his last year, has put in the time, and is trusted by the team.
Evans is the guy for the next two years. Bet.
Jackson is looking like he is a good bet to be the man in command in three years.
Hooker and Ellis are the future of our QB position.
Lawson did not fit well into these circumstances.
As much as I hate to see him go, The handwriting was on the wall. We haven't had threads here asking if Jack Click was going to transfer. And for good reason. We expect a walk-on QB to enjoy the opportunity he has, but don't expect him to seek anything higher than his backup position. Lawson came in with expectations applied to him that were entirely of our making (along with the recruiting services who think he has the talent to be successful, right or wrong), that he was going to be the face of the franchise in 2-3 years.
Both coaching staffs continued to pursue high-level QB talent. No reports ever suggested that Lawson was going to be the guy. The only rumblings I ever heard were that it was going to be a steep climb with him and I presumed it to be so. Our support structure for him was unable to overcome the gap.
I hope he succeeds admirably and must apologize in advance for turning him into the next Drew Harris.

However, as everyone has pointed out we have plenty of talent there now and hopefully in the future as well. His absence should help give some reps to the other QBs which this early in fall camp could help with development and progression.

One of my friends took ten years to complete his matriculation. It is really hard to predict what class she was in, if things are as said. Hope someone can help, though.

If she is 25 as the article claims, and she was a VT student, she probably started college about 7 years ago, when she was around 18. So if she started college 7 +- years ago, she would have graduated 3 +- years ago with a 4 year degree. This would mean after the Spring semester 2013. Any recent grads in that class around here?

I hope he is better able to take advantage of another opportunity, as long as it isn't in the ACC.
and this is what I get for relying on my old man memory instead of checking a roster first...
Caleb is gone but Stroman was a qb in hs. Can't see Bucky or McMillian being put there. Maybe Durkin before any of them in a worst case scenario.
