I'd be very surprised to see him pair up with Loeffler for several reasons -- not the least of which was the frustrated tone in Loeffler's voice when discussing Lawson.
I dont know how long you've been here, but anything slightly negative gets met with a lot of Hokie pride. Even though you can't down vote people because of their opinions, it doesn't stop people from running unpopular opinions out of town.

Not that it matters because he's going to CC for year, but the ACC transfer rule is 1 year, according to this. Everything else I see says 1 year, as well. What I believe you're thinking of is the condition of release of scholarship. Many schools do not release scholarship althletes without having the s/he sign off that s/he cannot go to an intra-conference school, or if s/he does, s/he will have to lose another year of eligibility. Texas Tech's conditional release of Brewer is why he couldn't go to any Texas school, not just those in the Big XII.
He was never going to play for Virginia Tech anyways. Barring chaos, Jerod Evans is the guy this year and next year. Coach Fuente can dodge the QB questions and say it's an open competition all he wants but the fact of the matter is he hand picked Evans to be Paxton Lynch's successor at Memphis and then brought him to Virginia Tech. New regime = New QB with no allegiance to the old guard. Based off the LIMITED film I've seen from Josh Jackson...HUDL, Snapchat, spring game, etc., he's PROBABLY the best pocket passer on the team already. I'm as bummed as everyone else to see Dwayne Lawson leave...like everyone here I had high hopes for him leading us to the ACC championship game...but it's quite clear his leaving has no affect on the direction of the program.
More likely Lawson told someone in confidence who then told the reporter. Looks super bad if someone in the athletic department leaked it and why would they start now? I mean, we don't even know why CJ left and I'm sure that could have been leaked by now...
If he did then he is naive or self-absorbed or both.
Sometime after the spring game, I ran into a former coach, who will remain unnamed, and talked with him about the game and the quarterbacks in particular. When Lawson was brought up, the coach mentioned Lawson's pretty hard childhood and teen years, and the point was that he's a talented kid with some issues that not many of us have faced. And the hope was that he would mature and live up to his potential.
It may not be a popular opinion, but I believe Loeffler might have been able to help him. I hope Lawson finds his way.
VT leaked drug test info? Most doubtful.

I think the statement is fairly benign. We are biased reading it because we know of the rumored failed drug tests. Imagine reading it without that knowledge and there's not much. Even wish him well. Take out that sentence and it completely changes the tone.
Several people have pointed at the statement and I still don't see what's wrong with it.
Between leaking the news of failed drug tests and the wording of this statement I'm not terribly happy with how the coaching staff is handling things. And yes, I recognize that this isn't Feelingsball. You're still dealing with young people.

Wear cargo shorts and when she asks take whatever item happily and stow it in one of your cargo pockets. When she gives you crap about wearing cargo pants switch to something with small pockets and when she asks if you can hold something of hers take it and then hand it back after realizing it won't fit in your pockets....too bad you don't have cargo pockets to stow it in anymore :/

It's a valid point, but to be honest, I think Lawson's got all the talent to be a very good college QB. He just couldn't get things together, but we're still in a perfectly good position with him transferring.
