The crazy thing about it though is his personality seems to change dramatically when he's on the field. I remember in the Spring when the Snapchat started to post videos from practice we were all surprised at just how loud, vocal, and involved he was.

I like Fuente a lot, but the one thing that stands out to me in watching the car wash interviews (among others) is that he is so soft spoken it's frequently hard to make out what he's saying. He needs to learn to speak a little louder.

I would hope we have enough offense this year that we will not need to try to expand the Motley Package into a game plan in one week for ECU, and that should balance out the OOC schedule. The ACC part looks about the same, and I will be disappointed if we do not win at least one out of Duke, UNC, PITT, Miami, or if we lose to CUSE, BC, GT, or LOL. I'm sure Fuente is aiming to win them all, but I'd be happy with 8+.

As a parent of teenagers, who discusses college with our children and their friends, I would say about 1 in 20 high school freshmen already know where they want to school, and if they get in don't usually change there minds. (Not talking about to play sports, just school). Some grew up fans and feel part of the team family already. Some have a particular career path (Air Force Pilot, Ship Design, Marine Scientist, Interpretive Dance Teacher) planned out. I guess I'm enough of an optimist to expect him to be the 1 in 20, in which case it does not feel weird. As a side note, when I helped coach 5th and 6th grade aged pop-warner and wore the VT hat I was regularly asked if I was a scout for VT.

It does seem like he runs 1 play... the touchdown play! It does look like he scores everytime he touches the ball. So why would the coach run any other play where he didn't get the ball?

He's does have good balance and vision to compliment his speed. All a joy to watch. I would love to see him the the Fuente offense/special teams! An offense that he would fit right into.

By the way I love the hashtags for the classes we have had the last few years.

So, Do we think the office had to scramble to come up with this one or do they have these nailed down before recruits could start committing. What other lyrics from Enter Sandman make good recruiting hashtags?

  • Sleep with one eye open
  • never never land

Please pay me $660,000 to resign and then continue with seat on a foundation for $300,000 more every year !
Please punish me like that.

I agree with you and hope the kid get to enjoy his high school years, but the recruiting circus will still be at his door, likely starting with that biggest of clowns, Jim Harbaugh.
