Yet of the top 10 in state this year it seems like we've offered all but the one that transferred from California? I agree with some of his argument that you aren't always going to offer all the top kids. Not good fits, not a position of need, multiple top 10 kids of the same position etc. but I think he's trying to understate how many top 10 kids we'll go after to lower expectations.

Seems like half of the recruits we are missing on have been on the defensive side of the ball where we don't have a brand new staff. We also retained zohn largely for his ties to the 757 and that's been a big miss so far too.

Hunter isn't coming for the big cookout this week and I believe is visiting florida (torrian) instead.

As for ricky slade i'm as hopeful as anyone, but not going to be too optimistic with a borderline 5 * kid.

Atlantic HS with the most NFL draft picks followed by the 757 schools. Interesting that Dematha Catholic has the most recruited players. Shows a high school coach who trusted our program, plus getting some well rounded individuals.

What strikes me is how successful our in state talent has been to winning. When we won games, it was because we landed good instate talent. Getting second bested in state has hurt us in the win column.

unless I am mistaken, he is not talking about players that go pro, rather about recruits that are going to flame out/transfer/be kicked off in 2 years because they either didn't fit with the program, the school, location or have character issues. Specifically I think he is saying that they are only offering and recruiting those out of the top ten that they think will excel and not simply because they are top ten.

He wants very low negative turnover.

When you sign a guy and everybody is excited about him on signing day, and he's no longer with the team in two years, you did not do your program any good

Man I'm excited and opptomistic for the Feunte era but boy do I not agree with this statement. I'm sure my fellow TKPers could come up with a pretty impressive list of 2 year players.

Not counting the redshirt season, Michael Vick anyone?

I just started it Friday. im not a big sci fi buy but im into it! it came up as a suggested watch after I finished Graceland which I liked even though the story line got played out fast to me but oh well Netflix on the ipad is life when you are a single parent and your kid hogs the TV with the XBOX1 or cartoon network lol.

It's all my 80's kid sci-fi movies in a TV show.

Well, I see that the MJO moves west to east through the northern hemisphere tropics as it circles the globe, which is opposite of the wind flow at the surface. I also see that it basically divides the globe in half as it goes, with one half drier, and the other half wetter (with serious updrafts).

One question:

Is there any other phenomenon that moves in the same direction, at a different speed, that your are aware of?

Another: I would think the presence of this MJO would greatly influence hurricane development (or strengthening). Is that the case? And conversely, would one feel safer knowing that the "dry" side is present over the Atlantic basin? Have there been definitive studies in this area?

Thanks!

Dammit I saw this comment talking about a kid from my alma mater and got really excited just to be let down

Ahhhh the mjo! Sorry I wasnt entirely sure what you were referring to! Whatcha wanna know about it?
