Bingo! He goes into business for himself, focusing on what he liked/was good at, and hires someone else to do the rest of the crap. He's going pro-in the non-sports program. Good for him. Sounds like his focus was with the facilities plan, and that is largely done. Whit can now bring in someone who's focus will be more on building alumni relationships, with a fresh start and stated purpose. Love KJ, glad he's sticking around ala Bruce, but not sure there is not room for an upgrade at the position now that the needs are different.

There is no reason to not go for broke against TN. I really think our defense can hang with them. I want to see the O challenge that TN D. Pound that rock then jet sweep to Ford or Phillips or McClease even!

Yeha this would be awesome. Euros already allow Asian teams, so having another dual-continent tournament would be nice. I'd also like to see a club championship in the Americas a la Champions League.

Now all we need is another tournament for Africa/Oceania/Antarctica.

or he slipped on the field, that ref got way to card happy, and was not consistent at all. As a ref the number one rule is consistency, and given a few of the fouls given on wood there should've been a few more cards dished out. The number two rule is to avoid fluctuating a game based on your opinions. He broke both of those, and as a result you got a really chippy affair that didnt deserve to be so. The ref made a huge difference in the game and that should never be an issue. He should have given yedlin a final warning on the second yellow and realized that his first was kind of soft. If you give the guy a final warning and he does it again, ok send him off, but 1) that gives the player a chance to cool his tits, and 2) gives the coach a chance to make a substitution. A red card is a HUGE deal that can not only change the way a game is played but also the outcome, and that should be saved for drastic decisions. I dont think yedlin deserved that, did he make a stupid decision? Sure, that deserves a yellow, did he make two or something so egregious that he deserves off for 1.5 games? No

why would you bench kane? ok he shouldnt be taking corners but that doesnt mean he shouldnt be on the field. I agree that vardy is probably their most in form striker but kane has not exactly been a one hit wonder and anyone that thinks so is kidding themselves. The dude has phenomenal talent and has got them some crucial goals and won them some big games. Kane should not be sitting bench. sterling on the other hand...and this is coming from a city fan mind you, deserves it. Until the guy can find consistency hes not going the be anything more than a glorified role player. The guy is spectacular at times, but awful at others. Case and point his first half was amazing, he was constantly a threat...until he whiffed on that volley that frankly should have won them the game. Likewise i agree, why have the best finisher on your team (Kane) taking corners. MAKES ZERO SENSE, its not like the man is a dwarf, takes corners for his club, or that you have a lack of talent to take corners elsewhere (see kyle walker or danny rose). Roy Hodgson deserves some blame, but harry kane starting is not one of the issues.

Have to have marquee wins. Have to beat rivals consistently. Can't lose to lesser teams. Have to find that guy (or a few guys) that turns a solid team into a contender.

CAFL Draft WEB

here is the full list of the newly drafted (as of last Friday) CAFL. As you can see two of the #1 picks are Hokies: David Wang and Bryan Randall. Randall's team also has former Hokie Xavier Boyce on it as well. I have friends on both their teams, as well as Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing teams. Now I have to figure out who to root for...

Then I decide if I want to stay or go to a blue blood.

Then I stay for 20+ years and make us a true blue blood, with multiple national championships and legendary status.

It's not apathy at the end of the Beamer era, it's exhaustion. I've been jumping up and down for over twenty years and I want one year where we achieve something more than foreplay. I think a climax is long overdue. I love Beamer as much as anyone, but sometimes you just wish you could win the lottery once as improbable as it is.

Sounds like a musical, "climb every mountain, win every game". Sorry, bourbon makes me musical. :--)

Go for broke, on first year expectations we have everything to win and nothing to loose, so try everything in the book. Just like life, you only have one, so try to make it memorable, and if not memorable, at least fun.

Until England realizes that Sterling is awful and Rooney is old and Kane should NOT be taking corners, this is the result they'll get. They have Vardy and Sturridge on the bench, which is kinda nuts to be honest.

If I were them I'd be benching at least Kane for one of those next game.

The first was harsh, but it certainly doesn't absolve him of being a complete idiot 30 seconds later. He made that too easy for the ref.

I'm surprised to see how often bibbs is overlooked. He may not shoot as well against great defenders, but he is lethal when he is square to the basket. Now that there are so many more players that can create their own shot he will be much tougher to defend. And he has another full summer to refine his game.
