There was a huge lawsuit against a sorority (not VT) because the pledges were so sleep-deprived, a couple of them died in a car crash when the driver fell asleep at the wheel. What compounded matters were the sorority student officers attempting to cover up the abuse after the fact.
While it might not be all about friends, there's a decent chunk of evidence that he involves himself in personnel and coaching decisions when allowed.
Oh, lol, no. No, no. It's not even a fair comparison. Mitchell might be alright (now that he's gone through a stringent background and decontamination process). But Chancellor>Joseph infinity. This shouldn't even be mentioned.
EVER.
Let's not forget who Mitchell helped produce at WVU: Karl Joseph. Reminds me A LOT of Kam Chancellor.

My top 3 home and homes that we have played that aren't scheduled in the future were LSU, Nebraska, and Texas A&M. 3 programs that are traditionally good, have rowdy fanbases, and usually makes for a good game (let's forget 2007 LSU ever happened). I'd like to see one of those rekindled.

I'll root for UVA long before I root for Liberty. There I said it.
The issue is he was just turned loose on this issue. I can't think of another football player with his education or business persona to step into that position.

I like KJ the person and player but honestly not sure it leaves any type of hard to fill hole. I don't think we'd have heard so much discontent this spring from former players if he was doing a great job on that area. This may clear the way for someone with a better skillset in that area to be hired and allow KJ to continue working with the athletic department as a contractor in the areas he excels.
Making cupcakes would have been less boring. The rites of initiation are more of symbolic gestures that represent the values of the organization and typically lead up to a final ceremony.
I was going to write an example of mental abuse that I know a female friend endured when she joined her college's (not VT) rugby team but I don't think it is appropriate here.
Guys aren't the only ones that can be hazed. From stories I have heard it seems women lean more towards mental abuse when hazing.
Virginia Tech Director of Athletics Whit Babcock announced Saturday that he has accepted the resignation of Kevin Jones as Assistant Athletics Director, Special Projects and Design. Jones expressed his desire to continue working with his own Blacksburg-based firm, JoBa Design, and to pursue his MBA from Virginia Tech.
This honestly to me sounds like what military guys do when they get out. Start up their own business of what they used to do so they will be contracted by the same employer for more money. So KJ seems to be starting his own business to not only continue working with VT but maybe there are other schools, companies, and/or organizations that he could provide service to... that is my two cents
Thank you. I am referring to the abuse and not the goofy team building exercises like stupid songs or even pop quizzing a pledge. While embarrassing at the moment those things are often funny later on. Being physically punished is not something I would laugh about later.
I understand there can be fine line between hazing and team bonding exercises. Everyone has there own personal definition or line in the sand. I know mine and if I see someone else being pushed past their limit I will step in and stop it.
My father grew up going to Catholic schools in NYC and was in the military. He told me after my first year at VT that he was glad I turned down the Army ROTC scholarship I was awarded and a senator's offer of a letter of recommendation to West Point because I had an attitude issue. My mouth has written some checks that my ass couldn't cash. I don't care. I did what I thought was right in those moments.
Not exactly relevant here but if you look at the VTFootball Twitter's response, some fan from ODoUr predicted they would beat us by 4tds dominate us for 4 qtrs in 2018. Gotta get summa whatever it is he's got.
Edit: he also says he trying to get blocked by @vtfootball, so they responded by saying Wyatt, Augie and Parker could oblige him

Wow, I was an AKPsi brother not too long ago, and I hadn't heard of this. Guess that shows how good a brother/alum I am. Very disappointing to hear, though.
