Joseph was talked about the same way in college as Chancellor was before he tore his ACL. As much as I hate to admit it because he was a WVU player, he's up there.

Appy State would be cool.
4-5 years is the normal for the school. Perhaps the national Alpha organization usually gives 10 year bans for hazing, this is just the first we are hearing about it so it seems unusual. Just a thought though not sure.

that was a typical english game. look good until you get a lead then choke it away really really poorly. aside from the fighting between russians and brits its been a pretty fun tournament so far. Payet's winner was fantastic, and good for wales for getting a historic win!

What you just saw was a mentally strong team (after Yedlin removed himself, idiot) winning a game 10 vs. 12 (the ref was not on our side tonight, there's little doubt about that).
We may even win the group still. On to Brazil/Peru probably.
Personally, I wish more teams in the ACC would do this. A) its more money for us, as the more teams that make it to bowls the more money the conference gets B) It makes every victory look better and more teams would be in the top 25, just look at the SEC
Not sure I'd call Georgia Tech's schedule appalling. Ga Southern finished top 40 in F/+ last season, Georgia is a top 25 team this year and Vandy was probably scheduled back when they were actually decent. Its a fairly strong OOC schedule for fans and good matchups for GT's level of team this year
hopefully Lee Suggs can replace KJ. Best of luck to KJ , he will always be a hokie.
To RebJanus, I completely get your opposition to scheduling FCS teams. I'm generally for it as a sort of warm-up game to ease into the season because there aren't exhibition games. But I won't argue for or against them because I don't feel strongly one way or another. If we're going to play FCS teams, my argument is make it interesting, make me care. Basically for the reasons bluehokie outlined.
I've watched a few moments of a few games. But what has caught my attention is the fighting among the fans.
As for the soccer, I'm surprise at how badly England played.
Marrying a Card in December...when those schedules dropped we were furious as hell.
A lot of schools have great success getting former players involved without having a former "star player" working in the Athletic department. I think Whit will be fine... he will make a good hire. We have no reason to think otherwise.
10 years seems excessively long, considering it only takes 4-5 years to overturn the student members of the fraternity.
Seems harsh, even if it's the national organization setting the timeline.
This year there is not time to do anything other than teach the system, and bring blue collar mentality back. I believe that is more than enough to get a bowl and the extra practice time, which is minimum for this year. Next year, when most of the starters know the play book and are accustomed to the pace, is when you have time to work in a special bag of tricks to pull of that one win that makes a statement and proves we can win it all to the fans and recruits. Bring up the level of recruits for a few years doing that, and the definition of the big win gradually gets to the ACC championship and/or playoffs.
