I was 11 at the time of the championship game and cried at the end of the game. It's stuck with me. Can't wait until the day I have championship tears of joy.

I think it's odd that Auburn is the one that first came to mind for me since the only one I was at was Michigan. I think of the National Title game as just that, not necessarily the bowl affiliation. The Michigan game all I can think of is that damn catch, so the bowl took second thought.

Ladies and gentlemen of TKP take note: if you're gonna homer, homer like this guy.

While there is certainly potential for Daenarys to take the Throne, it would be a rather bland ending to the story. So while I recognize the validity of your point, and am fully prepared for you to be right, I am rooting hard against Dany. She's great at conquering because she has the cult of personality and the dragons. But she's been right shit when it comes to actual governance. For the good of the Seven Kingdoms, and for the sake of keeping the plot as interesting as it has been, I hope that she never becomes queen.

That season was full of firsts for me. First season where I got really into Tech football and watched every game. First time I'd been to Fedex. First time I harassed a referee (that OPI against USC was horseshit). First time I ever verbally assaulted a TV screen (NC State). First time I ever won a bet on sports (band teacher was a WVU alum). And, during that Auburn game, the first time my grandma ever heard me say fuck.

I see 3-2 and OCC, losing to ECU only if we beat UT. I see 2-2 against the top of the coastal, with additional loss to a 6-6 team to finish 7-5, and out of the ACCCG despite having beat the coastal champ.

Yeah, you could contact the VTTO to see why that occurs, but like I mentioned, my assumption has always been that it's handicap parking. You won't be able to pick a spot in Lot 5 (or any reserved lot) if there isn't a green dot to click.

Michigan (forever burned in my mind, and now the feeling of rage is fresh)

Auburn is a very close second. I love that 2004 team.

To emphasize how far off this is, consider that by the time he needs to make a decision, we would have exhausted Jerod Evans' eligibility, which hopefully (crossing fingers, knocking on wood) could mean yet another Fuente qb in the league.

MoD, yesterday in TheClarion-Ledger, Old Miss coach Hugh Freeze despite admitting to 4 level I NCAA violations, 2 level II, and 3 level three violations says there is a difference between making mistakes and cheating. He said their "...staff is not out trying to buy players." Three of the four Level I violations that allegedly occurred under Freeze involve former left tackle Laremy Tunsil or someone from Tunsil's family: Tunsil used three loaner cars over a six-month period; his stepfather, Lindsey Miller, received $800 from a booster; and Tunsil's family received 12 nights' worth of lodging at area hotels valued at $2,253. Freeze went on to explain "To me, there is a difference in making a mistake and a willful attempt to circumvent rules to try and gain an advantage." Freeze told reporters "In my opinion, they(his staff) haven't done anything that rises to that level that I should walk in and terminate,I love my guys, I believe in them strongly." Athletic director Ross Bjork said Tuesday afternoon on the Paul Finebaum Show that he was "100 percent" supportive of Freeze as the head coach. Does this sound like a program that in any way respects the rules or even remotely fears NCAA sanctions after being caught red handed?
