Whit and his team have helped tremendously already this season. We're currently filming a video with Coach Fuente right now actually to promote the new shirts and SGA. Be on the look out soon for those!

1: This comes as no surprise to me
2: This sounds freakin' awesome!!
3: I love that Whit is trying to engage the students more...I wish I had that when I was a student
4: I love that Fuente is all about jumping in and involving the fans any way he can. I get the sense that a lot of the Mic'd up vidoes and snapchats of practice reps and things of that nature are ideas that come from the Athletic department, not Fuente, but Fuente likes the ideas and rolls with them.

Sure, so that amounts to one year when it wouldn't normally have been long sleeve in the last decade. I guess perception is everything. For someone like me who has purchased the shirts every year since 2003 (I have almost all of them, and my sister does have all of them), it doesn't seem like a big deal.

At the same time its not like these kids are blind to where they are ranked by the various sites, they absolutely know who is the 5 star, who is the 4, who is the 3 etc. Yes its about making every target feel desired, but schools have to prioritize too with their limited number of scholarships, and sometimes that burns both parties.

Basically because of Harry Potter.

Unlike a lot of child actors that young boys have a crush on and are in a movie or two and then disappear or lose popularity as they get older. Emma was in a very successful movie franchise that kept her in the spotlight for a decade. She grew up with them and also went from the awkward nerdy girl, got really attractive while developing a girl next door appeal, and being an interesting person.

At the same time almost every young person watches Harry Potter and will for a while which will continue adding fans to her on the interwebs probably for another 10 years when she reaches middle age and become unrelatable for young teenagers.

I really don't think there is. They aren't even students at the University yet. I know there are guidelines about what a school can and cannot do on an official visit (no simulating a game environment, etc.) but I don't think there's anything that says all recruits must be treated equally on campus. I mean, why would this be the one area in recruiting where the NCAA says you can't play favorites in the recruiting process.

We hold a contest in late January for the student-body to submit slogans for the shirts. Once those are selected, tweaked, and approved through Athletics and Licensing we move into the student-body design contest in late February to submit designs for the shirts. Most of the designs we get are actually sketches that we work can work with and digitalize ourselves - all we're looking for is the 'idea'. After the contest is over, we pick our favorites and edit them before working with Athletics, Licensing, and the t-shirt manufacturer to make the designs perfect and meet the NCAA and Virginia Tech licensing regulations.

They used to alternate but I guess they have changed that the past couple of years. I disagree that sales would improve by making both short sleeve. The majority of sales come from the combo so sales probably wouldn't see noticeable improvement.
