So long as all recruits (and now 2 parents/guardians) get free room and board on their official, is there anything that says all recruits must receive comparable accommodations? That doesn't happen in any other area of recruiting. Five and high four star recruits always get more attention in their recruiting than the average recruit. That's just the way it is. Unless there's actually a rule that every official visit must be comparable, I see no reason not to wine and dine the top recruits a little more.

I got my money on Sunderland staying up over norwich I just trust sam allerdyce more than newcastle who are a big ole mess (although currently are tied with mcfc) and norwich who frankly havent looked the part of an epl team most of the year

You win with talent. If system were enough someone would've done it by now.
I think both are important. Only one team in the BCS era has won a national championship without a top 10 recruiting classes within 4 years of the title game. But there are also plenty of top 10 recruiting classes that have finished the season unranked.
They alternate every year, at least for the past few years, so there is an even mix of long- and short-sleeve orange and maroon.
