As a United fan, there is nothing more painful than watching them pass around the outside of the box and never put a decent pass in, they either turn it over or send a hail mary cross into the box that gets cleared out immediately. Not that I look forward to a Mourinho team with the bus firmly parked at Stretford End (for a half).

This is what I like about Sevilla in Spain. They buy players on the cheap (guys like Bacca who have underperformed elsewhere) show some confidence in them and they play well. Then they sell them the following season. This allows them to invest in their youth program and build a base that will become increasingly competitive. Now if they can just win a freakin' road game that'd be great.

This would bother me if my brother were still writing for them, but after how his time at the paper came to an end, this just sounds like more of the same business policies that have ruined the paper (even if there are easy work-arounds).

Not that I think we have any shot at him playing here, but honestly I don't think I would want someone like Thon. Seems like a walking NCAA violation and clearly has zero interest in being a student athlete. Let him go play in the NBA, he wouldn't be good for college basketball

He'll be a bust! All he wants to do is stand outside and shoot 3's. He needs to play college ball to get his skills up to par. Chasing that $!!!!!

For clarification AB wasnt there, he only covers football, he just felt the need to comment when his friends and peers mentioned what was happening, which does make his going in on Buzz a bit weak, but what the other press were saying was much less aggressive too.

I think the paying the Bill comment was how traditional media is still for most people the #2 way they interact with VT sports besides watching games. Most fans will not be on TKP, TSL, Reddit, or other forums, so beat writers and occasional national coverage is all they have, and thus part of the lens they decide to either donate or withhold based on.

I'm not sure how the media pays the bills. As for "unpaid OT", that's between AB and his boss, no reason to whine on social media about it. If he is unhappy with his work hours he can always go get a 9-5 job somewhere

Buzz was wrong for how he did it, but probably right for why. Wouldn't hurt to throw a bone to the people waiting on you though. And, oh by the way, fans and media pay the bills so maybe Buzz feels too entitled to be able to go all rebel. How is it not a jerk move to keep so many people waiting without even a simple explanation?

Bottom line is that this isn't a big deal if it only happens once. If it becomes recurring, I'd start to fear a breakup similar to Greenberg. As for the media, they get paid to give play by play information. Being a little upset by having to work a little unpaid OT is human nature and we saw it live.

If based on the comic, it's Glenn. Also, it does appear that it's someone on the right.

Contract leverage: so you think you're worth more money, nah you could have been the one who was up close and personal with Lucille.

I think the character will have to be on set for some flashback sequences, or else it will definitely leak early.

I sort of wish they had gotten to this point sooner because the show should be getting a lot more depth going forward.

Was it just me or were there a lot of commercials and previews for other shows?

I think it's between Daryl and Glenn.

Not Carl. I also think Negan referring to Carl specifically is a red herring to make us think it's Rick. From the angle of the upward camera when Negan took the first swing, it was someone to Rick's right, so that's Maggie, Abraham, Rosita, Michonne, Glenn, or Daryl. Not likely any of the women if Negan's M.O. from the comics is followed. Abraham would serve no purpose at this point, because if they're just going to kill him there, then having Denise "take" his comic death is another poke in the eye in terms of gimmicks. It's gotta be Daryl. Dwight is Negan's right-hand man and he's certainly filled him in on Daryl's role in everything. Negan knew what he was going to do the whole time and just drew it out for effect.

I'm too pissed to care who it was right now. Fuck the damn gimmick ending!!! We've all known a major character was going to die for a while now. To drag it out until next season is just fucking asinine.

It's also crap because it will come out who is not on set and who is not getting paid.

Yes and yes.

Who do we think it was? Initially I thought Carl. Now I'm not sure.

Immediate thoughts:

1. Ending on a gimmick like that sucks. Now we have a whole lot of useless prognostication rather than interesting discussion about "how is the group going to go on now that _________ died?"

2. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a brilliant choice for Negan.

That was a bunch of bullshit!
