If you are getting pressured that quickly it is more often then not up the middle, so we're talking more OC and OGs getting beat cleanly off the snap.

And while you're at it, would you not need to consider the opposing defenses, the quality of their players, defensive coordinators, and how well each individual player plays in certain weather conditions and whether or not he had steak or power bars on game morning and how that affected his play that day? My heads spinning.

Oh, the pain that we hath shared (past tense). The future doeth look interesting.

It would be satisfying to win since (almost) everyone in the Deep South refers to Virginians as being from the north. Not that the G&G college town bracket is going to be the water cooler topic of all next week, but it'd be sweet!

Which is only subtly different from the Post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy. The fallacy lies in coming to a conclusion based solely on the order of events, rather than taking into account other factors that might rule out the connection.

Yeah, If Lefty gets the running game going he will stop running it and start inexplicably doing something else to confuse the other team not to mention his own fanbase. You can't let the defense guess your next move. I know what you mean.

Help! How do u change your IP address so I can vote more than once. We're in the Final Four and going to choke to Ugga! Noooooo!
Come on, some smart Hokie can help.
We only have 2 days n we're down by 10. But Clemson did something and came back from 20 down to win a round earlier before they put the capta code in. Now it's been removed. Don't let a CU person outdo us.

French, thanks for the report and thanks for releasing those big stripers. I'm confused on the cobia catch rule myself, yet the lawmakers allow all of these menhaden to be harvested and it devastates the striper population and no one blinks an eye. I don't understand it.

As far fishing goes, spring pickerel should be on fire in no time. The brook trout fishing is apparently amazing right now and will be that way through June in the parks. I will be throwing my first fly casts of the year for smallmouth later this week in the James and Rivanna.

I've been lucky enough to get some early season trips in. I spent 12 days in Florida in February and landed my first snook on fly. Biggest one topped out at 24" and I caught it on my personal design.

Biggest fish in Key West was a 44" cuda. Goddamn I love them.

Two weeks ago took a trip to Costa Rica with my parents. We fished some amazing water on the south Pacific portion of the country. Highlight of the fishing was catching my first Roosterfish on live lined sardines with a local captain. My dad landed three!

My next big trip is to New Orleans for redfish in April. Cannot wait to hopefully get a really big on fly.

For those discussing kayaks and the like you can stand up in, I highly recommend the Jackson Cuda series. I fish out of the Cuda 12.

Anybody in the Richmond/NOVA area there is the VA Fly Fishing and Wine festival April 9-10 at the fairgrounds in Doswell off of 95 (below Kings Dominion.) I'll have a tying booth and be hawking my wares/flies/art/shirts/hats and booking trips for the summer. Stop by, talk fly fishing, Hokie Football and drink some wine and beer!

Georgia/Athens/UGA social media effort is strong. Every tourism/alumni handle you can think of is retweeting for #Athens.

WTF, all I get is a pic of VV with text saying check out @HokiesFB and when I search for the account, nothing pops up. Screw this snapchat BS!

Settle is noticeable whenever he's been shown, I noticed Woody Barron too in one drill just fly by a lineman.

From a layman's perspective. I've also noticed:

Cam Phillips has been looking good
It's hard to know how the old regime handled things but I like the attention to perimeter blocking

So lots of great content on snapchat tonight but one thing kind of jumped out to me.

Tim Settle is very big and very strong. Wow.

Does Motley look bigger or is it just me? Looks like his arms and shoulders are a lot bigger to me. Excited to see how this QB competition plays out

"The tempo is very fast. Getting adjusted to that, because we never did that since I've been here, it's a process, but I'm getting adjusted to it. The best thing is the tempo is hard on us right now, but it's gonna be hard on other teams during the season."

The above quote from Bucky Hodges really resonated with me.

Throughout his tenure, Scot Loeffler went up-tempo as a package ("six reps of sonic, man!"). This season and beyond, playing with a sense of urgency will be part of the offense's soul. Practice is built around it, conditioning is built around it, drills are built around it. Virginia Tech's offense will have an actual focused identity and everything the team does will reflect and reenforce it. For the first time in a long damn time, the Hokies' offense won't be an an amalgam of concepts.
