I think this was a calculated move by CJF. I'm betting that he chose Sam because he was pleased with the overall effort of the group today and didn't see the need for extra running. If he thought the effort wasn't there he would have chosen someone else.
I love this kid. He's gonna look great in CM&BO, and I'm so proud of the coaching staff for going out and getting us ANOTHER great QB prospect.

Last week was a very good week to fall in love with the campus. Hard to beat the fall around here, but the first warm and sunny week of the spring is always amazing around campus.
I like what Sam Rogers had to say when asked about the differences between the old and new strength and conditioning programs: "I don't really wanna compare too much between the two. Everybody's gonna have their own nuances and styles and things like that. I love the guys here right now. I love what they're doing. It's been really good for us."
I think his response shows a lot of maturity as he doesn't throw any of the old staff under the bus. I also think his response makes it clear that some fresh ideas and new energy were desperately needed. I think we may see some of the old, tough, gritty play this year that we used to see from the Hokies.
I was looking at the teams that will be playing in the next two days and realize that eight of our losses came to these teams (includes a loss to Iowa State).. Looking back at the Notre Dame game with Allen's shot at the buzzer coming out and knowing that Syracuse never led the entire game until the overtime period, I can't wait till next year. Still can't figure out how Buzz did not get coach of the year in the ACC.
They look like they are chomping at the bit to get some hitting in!
