French in your opinion who should be the starting 4 (or 5)?
A ways back in this thread it was talking about winning & fan support. In the NFL, there is no question that the Redskins (who I hate) & the Broncos have the most loyal fans. The two teams hold the longest consecutive sellout streak with the Redskins #1. Not sure what the Skins number is but I arrived in Denver in 1969 in the Air Force & my Broncos started what is now a 45 YEAR sellout streak & still going. I do have the power said HeMan once.
But what I wanted to post here since this was supposedly a "Buzz is leaving" thread was that while the Hokies were in that late season run I never bothered to look at the Cassell fan numbers in that streak. In the last 7 games at Cassell, the attendance was 9567, 7084, 9567, 9567, 6949, 8911, & 8241. Winning does and will help the cause. Buzz has lit the fuse, he's not going anywhere soon (except to Atlanta for a few days) & I expect Cassell to be rocking again next year.
I really enjoyed this clip.

It's a basic team building exercise, but the reaction from the players suggests there's buy-in on the new regime.
They have to get excited over something during football practice.

The fours is strong with us.
So is it a requirement for the new OC at VT to have a newborn their first year?
Not sure...small sample size. :(
(no pun intended, but I'll allow it to look that way)
OT:
Someone (JMU maybe?) needs to update Coach Stinespring's Wikipedia article STAT. Besides being out of date, whoever has been making updates over the years are not huge fans of BS. The current revision is "fair", but the table of contents amounts to:
INTRO: "...he has been relieved of his playcalling duties..."
1. Criticism
2. Offensive Statistics
3. References
Bryan Stinespring Wikipedia
The negative "revisions" started Jan. 8th, 2008 after a certain Orange Bowl loss. This more recent one is particularly entertaining and disturbing at the same time:
Sept. 13th, 2010 Revision
That is the correct snapchat username. They don't actually send you the snapchat. You have to view it under their story. Click on the purple square on the bottom right and then click on HokiesFB.
That would appear to be the gist of the vid. Also spreading the cheer of a Mountaineer.
Small sample size, but QB's looked sharp. Not particularly meaningful, but it was pretty to watch.
This.
All these complaints simply suggest you don't understand the trail technique and the significant advantages and freedom it allows our defense. We do not beat Ohio State in 2014 without it. Quite frankly, I do not understand how people still hold this dissenting opinion after the number of times it's been explained.
there's also a HokiesFB instagram account. They added it a week ago or so
Yeah but I was reading a first round NBA draft preview the other day (granted it was BR and I know it's an unwritten rule everyone here has to hate them) that had Finney-Smith going top 20. Florida has been a disappointment for sure (see Robinson, Devin specifically), but DFS has been a very good collegiate player.
Is HokiesFB the correct snapchat account? I added it a week ago and saw none of these.
So I have downloaded snapchat and added HokiesFB, but have not seen a thing. Am I just social media illiterate or has there just been nothing sent out for the last two weeks?
I read the first 4 words and my heart skipped a beat.
LOLUVa -- "Photoshop the Wins"
Is it just me or does DeAndre Plantin look pretty good getting out there on the edge? I think that kid could be a player. I loved his feet coming out of high school. He just needed more bend and lower body strength
The feel sorry for their players. If I were them I would rather have my number and no name, pretty embarrassing for people to know you play for UVA.
Yes, the official announcement has been made, they will be bringing their east coast production to Roanoke,
I've been part of the ceremonies and therefore have a bit more beer than best for postig here.
I will post an analysis forwhat this means for our region tomorrow.
The next goal for the players is rather simple: Convince Mendenhall to have a spring game April 23.
And after that, convince fans to actually attend said game. Well, can't say the guy doesn't reach for the stars. He is at LOLUVa, so he should get used to disappointment. Maybe there's a clock somewhere for that one.
Jerod Evans is wearing #4?
Our #4s are usually pretty good...

You're exactly right. Good coaching can help make up for subpar recruiting, but to win championships, you need both. Recruiting misses have killed us in recent years.
oh man. Just voted 10 times, took us from 51.63 to 51.7. Looks like those slackers in Chapel Hill are choosing sleep over victory.

Great write-up French. It is now time to switch to Football mode for the rest of the year.
