Do you guys think rumors are more or less active around Buzz because he is his own agent?
He doesn't have "representation" out there floating his name. He can't doesn't have plausible deniability due to the fact that it is his agent negotiating with a school. He has to do all that himself, either be active (and there are rumors he was always active at Marquette) or be inactive.
It seems like an interesting angle. If Buzz is interested in Okie St, or vice versa, he has to take time out of his current job at VT to handle that situation. There is a reason you pay agents 10%: to take care of this stuff for you.

Obviously the smaller ones are not, but several of the large ones look like arena built to support a community, not a university.

I love Cassell but damn the outside of McCamish Pavilion is appeasing to the eyes.

I think that vaulted ceiling also overwhelms the Cassell bowl, making it seem smaller than it really is.
I mean, look at Florida and Florida State. Their capacities aren't much different from Cassell, but they just look enormous comparatively speaking. Cassell has the look of an arena half its size.
As an ASU Alum, I approve this message. Appalachian State has one of the prettiest campuses & Boone is a lot like Blacksburg.
It does say "the best SOUTHERN college towns"....
That being said, I don't consider all of these towns part of the south
Thanks! College basketball arenas are fascinating to me, so I thought it would be fun to take a look and see how we compare to a selection of venues around the county. I'm glad others found something to take away from it too.
Your point about Cassell is a good one - I think it has a deceiving appearance in a few different ways.
1) The walls at the baselines give the appearance that front rows of fans are further away than they actually are.
2) There's a fairly large amount of flat wall space visible in the building. Having the video boards take up a majority of that space helps, but it's still noticeable. To me, this creates an appearance that Cassell is somewhat... unfinished, for lack of a better word.
3) I think the single-bowl design contributes to a smaller feel. Where GT's renovations really succeed is giving the appearance of the upper deck being much closer to the action. Also, I find that the two tiers give the illusion of a greater capacity.
I believe he and Hill graduate at the same time now, because of Hill redshirting.
Hope he stays but even if he doesn't I am sure Whit Babcock is prepared.
