Buzz Williams was a solid candidate with a 10-8 league record for the Hokies, but the award became too much of a reward for overachieving during Seth Greenberg's time in Blacksburg.
So we're still being punished by chuckleheads like this for Greenberg? And he voted for Williams of all people? You could have put James Johnson out there with that talent and they'd still finish in the top 4 of the ACC.

Note: Planned to vote for Miami's Jim Larraaga if the Hurricanes won Saturday and gained at least a share of the ACC regular-season title, but they lost 77-62 at Virginia Tech. Buzz Williams was a solid candidate with a 10-8 league record for the Hokies, but the award became too much of a reward for overachieving during Seth Greenberg's time in Blacksburg. I picked North Carolina to finish second in the ACC and am rewarding Roy Williams for an outright title

Apparently Buzz "bet" the media he'd never make COY when they brought it up, and said he'd match all their bets when they reached for their wallets. He'd be laughing all the way to the bank if it was serious.

ACC is full of fantastic coaches. I'm proud to have mine.
I like Larranaga but Buzz coached his ass off this year and he should have won COY. I bet some of these voters had their ballots done by last week.

That's okay, just enjoy that we are way ahead of where our coach thought we would be when he setup the schedule. Or maybe that easy first two months allowed us to grow to this point.

Two horse race between Evans and Lawson. I think if it ends up being close, Evans gets the nod just for eligibility reasons. I'd like to see both get time against Liberty, and have a definite starter from Tennessee on.
