I got engaged in September of 2014. We're getting married this Spring. We opted for the long engagement specifically to avoid having a Fall wedding. We are both big Hokie Football fans through and through. We were in complete agreement on that point.

Well if your friendship is strong enough to weather an affront as horrible as scheduling a wedding the day of Bristol, I'm sure it is strong enough to weather you skipping out on said wedding to go to the game.

Nice article Brian, but I say we are setting our sights too low. The way I see it, we win both games left in regular season and a victory in the ACC tournamnt (which I will be attending) and we are in the Big Dance. We are only a game behind Clemson and Syracuse, one team we beat and the other we should have beaten. So let's do it and put the pressure on the decision makers. Am I a little optomistic, of course. But so what. When I was in school we went to the Big Dance and even won a game before losing to Larry Bird and Ind St. So we can do it even if it was a couple of generations ago. GO HOKIES!

Many schools are like that. I know University System of Georgia offers an out-of-state tuition waiver to bring the cost down to the in-state level so folks who get a job with them and don't qualify for in-state because of a move can get their spouse and children in-state tuition.

I'm fairly sure Tyrann Mathieu only managed 2 reps.

Great thread!!! So many William Shatner jokes in one place. I have to admit that I didn't get most of them.....

Is Joel Caleb still with the team? Seems like if he were going to transfer as a graduate we would've heard something by now since he already has a degree (I think?)

LIKE a madman?

Sal had a pretty good NCAA tourney showing last year, but went 0-2 in the ACC tourney. I think he'll be eager this weekend to prove that was a fluke.

McFadden just happens to wrestle at a weight where the ACC is loaded. The conference has gets 5 automatic bids to the NCAA's at 165 with only 6 teams. All he needs to do is not finish last, and he's punched his ticket to Madison Square Garden.

'Twas a great afternoon, sorry it had to end! I was the guy with.... the grey shirt on running around like a madman. I need another beer!

There are even some tickets whose list price is $40, but I wouldn't underestimate the number of people who want to go to this game.

That said, there is going to be a lot of variation in price, for the reason mentioned.

Tonight Brian at VT with the Food Science and Fermentation Dept ( yeah, I know that's not right but, to me, it's really the VT Dept of Fermentation), had a guest lecturer in for the fermentation class and invited some brewery professionals in to hear it and then socialize.

It was a great thing. Looking forward to more of this.
I met some good people today in the class that are prospective commercial brewers. Welcome to the industry. Properly trained entrants to the local brewing staffs will really enhance the productivity of the breweries much more quickly.

Some bright and energetic people there.

If we met today, drop a note here.
I was the guy in the long hair, red shirt and hat that said, " Beer is Love" on the side.
