Hopefully Kendall can do drills at Virginia Tech's pro day. If not, it will probably ensure that someone will get to draft a definite first round corner at a discount.
edit: If he isn't ready by pro day he will hold a private workout for NFL scouts.
One other bit of good news for the good guys: Mastriani is the only Hokie wrestler who needs to finish higher than his seeding to auto-qualify for the national tournament.
Agree. I think you'll see decent tickets going for as little as $40 on the day of. I think a lot of the race ticket holders that used that leverage to obtain tickets in order to make a buck will be trying to minimize their losses.
Dat middle finger. Lmao!
"Hooker lives off of all the corner routes! Every time Hooker's man gets down, Hooker picks him up and they keep the drive alive."
Yes, but they do keep score to determine the winner of the tournament. If I have it right, the winner of each weight class gets 10 points for his team, 2nd place gets 7, 3rd gets 4 and 4th gets 2. Then there are bonus points for major decisions, falls, etc. which I wouldn't dare try to project. Excluding the bonus points, pretending that the seeds accurately predict the final results, I've got:
VT - 63
NCSU - 62
UNC - 32
Duke - 28
UVa - 24
Pitt - 21
For purely selfish reasons I would love to see him fall to the middle of 2nd as the Raiders have huge needs on D...
Don't think of it as scoring, think of it as a rating of how well the team is expected to do, with the lower rating correlating to a better outcome/more points scores. Its shows how thin the margin is between VT and NC State and how wide the margin is between them and the rest of the field.
Mine are in Darrell Waltrip corner. At least Section J, row 7 doesn't sound that horrible unless the tickets are so low you can't see the far side of the field.
Correct, hence the numerous speculations regarding Stinespring getting the OC nod over Kevin Rogers.
So who is going to have to wrestle a low seeded or unseeded Snyder?
Wasn't Brian's wife Beamer's secretary for many, many years...
That is correct. Sorry for misspeaking. VT will allow employees students to attend for free.
My current system (University System of Maryland) will allow children of university employees to attend any other in system school for free.
I think it's for employees of state universities, not the entire state government. I seem to recall VT having a similar program when I went there, that paid the tuition for children of university employees. I have no idea if it was a statewide program, or specific to VT.
Thanks for posting. I've been waiting for this to come out. So if I'm doing the math correctly, VT has a 1-point advantage over NCSU (before bonus points) if everyone lives up to their seeding. Should be a great tournament.
Yes, I've been to 2 games at JPJ...Hokies are 2-0 in those games!
Sooo, who's taking care of step 1 in Hooker 101...hookers get paid, usually up front.
That Hooker is showing amazing ball control in this half, expect some serious penetration next half.
Great penetration by Hooker.
Hooker...
Spoiler Alert: it is an adverb, not a noun.
See Joe's comment in the thread on the Coaching Clinics CJF & Co put on.
With 160,000 tickets up for grabs I don't think this will be as scalper-friendly an event that some of these raceway ticket holders think that it will be. The key thing here is to have patience...there WILL be plenty of tickets around at the end of the day, IMO.
Great to see, and the school is definitely NOT allowed to give shirts (or really anything) to the recruits. However, many recruits buy a shirt souvenir from every school they make a recruiting trip to. All rides end in the gift shop!
I think you have to keep in mind the number of people higher then you in the Hokie Club and how high the demand is for good seats. A person that might normally only get 2-4 season tickets might have ordered 10 for this game.
