If not this year, it will be the next. Jumping from a .111 winning percentage in Y1, to ~.500 in Y2, to ACC Contenders in Y3.

It would be a shame for Buzz to not pick up an ACC COY in the process.

I don't see how there are any more qualified candidates this year. UVA was supposed to be good, same with the U. Larranaga's come up was when he first won ACC COY. Brad Brownell's team is fading of late, plus they were not quite the dumpster fire that was the 2014-2015 Hokies.

Buzz took a train wreck, picked to finish near last place for yet another season and has them shaping up to be a real ACC contender in the 2016-2017 season. Our collective hype train will actually gather some national attention heading into next season. That is an insane turnaround.

This wasn't a lottery entry. I bought through VT and paid for them in October. The tickets are in Kulwicki Terrace.

Looks like those of us who ordered during the public sale in October through VT just got notifications. Or at least I did, so a heads up to everyone else in that same boat.

I know this board has a strange relationship with #sauces, but there isn't much mystery about this tweet. It's been #sauced in numerous places that Memphis and Okie State probably have contacted Buzz's representation to gauge his interest. The extent of the reciprocation is up for debate and the list of schools will likely grow over the next month.

But this isn't the type of info that will show up in the Roanoke Times. If it is addressed by the "traditional media" on twitter, their sources almost assuredly aren't any better than Rev Zeke's. He works in scouting in D1 as a consultant, he knows everyone and he has a particular connection to VT hoops. He knows what he's talking about.

There may be other issues going on, like you mentioned, assistant coaches will likely be hired away (Buzz said as much on TTL last night), there is the Outlaw situation that needs to be resolved in the next month so we can recruit his scholarship and there will likely be a transfer or two. And those are the obvious three issues on the table. But the big issue is something we just will have to get used to: Buzz is being courted by other schools.

When I think of someone as a bullshitter, I think of someone who has no idea what they are talking about and are pretending to know something so others don't realize they don't know. That wasn't Stiney.

He bullshitted just enough to become OC.
No, I don't know the guy so not going to seriously comment, but I did love his energy as much as anyone.

Remember that AlGroh made a career by having losing seasons followed by 7 wins and COTY. I agree that Buzz won't win, but he is more than deserving.

His intensity is Bud Foster-scary. Probably nice guys, but intimidating.

Your surprised at what winning can do?

Once they stop winning, or if they receive a harsher NCAA infractions that extend beyond a single seasons worth of no post-season play... maybe that will be the downfall of Slick Rick

He has made slime a part of the profession. Even my grandfather gripes about him during his early days at Providence College, before he ruined the Celtics.

EDIT for the interested, here is the most famous interview of Rick Pitino in New England sports history:
http://boston.cbslocal.com/2013/10/03/toucher-rich-hang-up-on-rick-pitin...

A quick transcription of the call:
Fred: We are joined by Rick Pitino, former coach of the Celtics, current coach of the Louisville Cardinals who won the national championship. Rick Pitino, hello!

Pitino: Morning, guys.

Fred: You stink. You ruined the Celtics.
