Shane? Stiney?
So Bud keeps talking about 'long' DBs as in tall, big DBs. For someone who knows what they are talking about, is he trying to build a Backer/Nickel hybrid to go along with his Whip/nickel hybrid so he can jump from Bear to nickel to dime without changing personnel, or do those positions require different skill sets?
So does this make us the front runners for Bailey?
Butch gets it guys. Brick by Brick. The foundation has been laid, the walls are up, and the house goes on the market in Septemer.
Speaking of contracts, Nike wanted the uniform deal to be for 5 years but that was denied. What I don't know is what was finally agreed to.....wife said she'd find out...
Why not? He could do a lot for this country like implement things like the "Hokie Spangled Banner" and change our nations colors to maroon and orange and make the national bird the Hokie bird

Your opinion is terrible, clearly. I question the genetic makeup of your ancestors, your education, your ability to reason and wonder if you have any valid reason to continue consuming oxygen that perhaps could be put to a better purpose.
In short, sir, how dare you feel it was appropriate to express your opinion anonymously on the internet. The entire World Wide Web has been tainted by your error, we are all worse off for having read it, and serious consideration should be given to shutting the internet down entirely until this stain can be expunged so as not to subject future generations to this level of awfulness.
Plus, the ones we wore like two games AFTER that were way better. They did exactly the opposite with regards to stripes than your preferred choice, which should go down as the most horrendous decision in the history of Virginia Tech football. Other than IT WAS A CATCH, of course.
Missed it by THAT much. Awesome season everyone
I would get that but the article talks about some "elite Catholic" league.

Thanks for the info on the website. That's a pretty cool site.
I guess you and I have different definitions of a specialty uniform. I'm more inclined to think of a specialty uniform as something that the team wore when they played BSU back in 2010. When I say specialty uniform, I mean the outfit, sans the helmet.
Also, I agree that we should not include the uniforms they wore to the Independence Bowl since it was more to honor CFB. Also, it was only the helmet and not the uniform.
Question if anyone knows - does that payment go to the ACC where it gets divvied up or does VT keep it?
Since this was bumped earlier this week VT did add a criminal justice related major last year. I worked in admissions and it was a big buzz. I can check later for the official title if anyone wants.

......I just wish they'd start losing
Our uniforms are going to be made out of coal?!?!?!? /s
Right you are.
Here's the portion about the uniforms in the @BattleAtBristol contract. #Hokies pic.twitter.com/dFK91Jv7X4โ Clark Ruhland (@Hokie20) January 6, 2016
In would tend to call it more body control toughness. He could do better job of using his body to box out on receptions, and seemed to need to catch the ball before he started running on screens, but to be fair too many of our receivers did, so it may have been a Brewer or coaching thing. Still needs improvement. If playing receiver, I think he needs to work on reading where to be to get the ball at its highest point on deep balls as well. Just don't understand NFL draft enough to know how much improving will help, or Fuent's system enough to know how much he can improve his stock in a year.
Alum07, in a slight breach of etiquette, skipped the triple dare and went straight for the throat!
Speaking of The Battle at Bristol, it looks like this week be an elusive color vs color game with Tennessee wearing orange and Tech wearing maroon or grey or whatnot.
I don't care what Fuente reveals against Liberty, as long as it's a W. Reveal everything if you have to.
Would it hurt or help him to actually be drafted as a WR and not a TE? I bring this up because of the ringamarole that Jimmy Graham went through with the Saints in terms of compensation for the Franchise Tag. As a Tight End, he got somewhere around $8 million, but as a WR he would have gotten closer to $12 million because of the difference in pay by position, even though he was far and away the Saints top receiver any way you looked at it. If he goes out in Fuente's offense and catches 60 balls for close to 800 yards, how many teams are going to quibble at draft time on what his position is? If I am his agent, I might be trying my damndest to get his contract to say Wide Receiver whenever that comes to fruition. This also would relieve him of being expected to be a better blocker on the line than he is. He could concentrate on route running and improving what makes him a mismatch as a ball catcher.
Keep in mind the schedule that teams like Dematha run to stay in the top tier of programs in the country.
Dematha this year played two teams from Florida to start the year that were both top 15 schools, then a top Catholic school in Pennsylvania before getting into their WCAC schedule. I would expect a team run by Coach Scott to maybe take it a step farther, with close to half their games against other national powerhouses.

That REALLY seems like a downgrade from top tier FCS team, with all the added brand recognition from the Game Day visit, to a below average Sun Belt team.
