I'm ok with a player going cold so long as we don't 100% rely on him for our points. As it stands, we've had different guys have big games. Yes, they could all go cold at once, which is a terrifying thought, but at least it's not on the shoulders of one player like it has been in previous years.

True that, and you are right we didn't exercise great thread discipline. And Lord knows we all loved that damn win, first full game Ive seen since the UAB one, but I think as a Basketball school we have to almost learn what it fees like win and hope again.
If this what its like then damn right sure sign me up for more, unpredictable HC and all.

I mean, if we just ended the year right now we would finish with a win over UVA and undefeated in ACC play, just a thought!
I agree with all of that, I am just an old grouch who gets annoyed easily. I thought it went on too long, and the arguments became redundant and appeared in too many places in the thread to easily avoid, when I was looking for more of celebratory feel good read.

The competitive argument can only be used for the prime time games featuring Alabama.
I think the argument for the early game is that some people were still at work when it started.
Mentioned above but I did want to say I appreciate and respect you for having a real honest conversation on the team and trying to maintain quality and actually address each others points, I respect and try very hard to reciprocate that.

# | Hokies Grit Their Way to 70-68 Victory Over No. 4 Virginia Johnson and Meeks (when healthy) from UNC is the best ACC front court IMO. That being said, you're right that Our bigs have been really impressive the last two games.
I actually think Fernley and I had a good honest debate over it neither is completely in the right, just like neither side in the actual incident.
We kept it mostly civil, responded to each others points and didn't make any ridiculous claims or such, exactly what you should hop for in an internet debate, that neither of us was convinced is secondary to our reasoning and lines of thought now being out there for everyone to consider.
Lady Hokies seem to have a great team this year!

He did acknowledge it, both at the 1:46 minutes after the game when he showed up, ensuring the press that he had been made aware of the unnecessary tweets while they were waiting but also explained that he had a duty to the team and to Whit to do the job he was hired to do. He further apologized after the NC State game as well. That said, all of these media members had another basketball game they could have been watching and were likely responsible for reporting on as the Lady Hokies were setting a Tech record for fewest points ever allowed by a Tech women's team. Instead they sat there and acted childish, posting every few minutes that they were still waiting. Posting once, maybe copying the people they know run the program, that they were not pleased to have to be waiting is one thing, but to sit there like a tweenage girl moaning about having to wait a bit went too far in my opinion. Bitter taking it to the point of calling someone a jerk and questioning Buzz' coaching method especially seems poor after the results of the last two games. I am surprised they arent more upset about not getting an exclusive on what took Buzz 1:46 minutes to come out from the locker room.
I hope he get's healthy I heard it's not great. We'll see though and #sauces until we know for sure. I heard he can straight ball out. I like that we are a shorter team that's scrappy can anyone with more knowledge than me comment on whether Buzz has used true 5's often?
One of my college roommates was a VT Engineer, sister was a Clemson Engineer (wanted to do a specific Engineering that VT doesn't have). Their parents went to Duke/UNC. All four of them applied to and were accepted by UVA and turned it down for better programs elsewhere.

If the team came out flat, that's on the coaching staff for not getting them ready to play.
Ditto, I once countered a hoo's assertion that I couldn't have gotten into UVA by mentioning I had gotten an appointment to the Air Force Academy. He said UVA was harder to get into than Air Force. What do you say to something like that?
In all fairness, VT was a lot easier to get into when I got in (1995), and I do know plenty of kids from Northern VA who considered it a safety school. That being said, VT is way harder to get into now than it was 20 years ago. I'm glad that subsequent generations of Hokies are raising the value of my degree!
