Probably not as big of a gap as you'd think. Jacksonville State is really good - they're in the FCS Championship and their only loss this season is to Auburn.
They're also known as a landing spot for SEC transfers and they heavily recruit the state of Alabama, so they have quality talent on their roster.

I think thats the problem with making assumptions off of highlight reels: because honestly I was in that latter boat, I thought from a mechanics and passing stand point; I thought he was the best QB prospect we had in a LONG time.

I dont know how you watch that and not think, 'this kids a stud' - then comes spring game even this year and him and Durkin were just overmatched. I hope he does well, you can tell hes been working on his footwork, ha its almost like you can see him thinking in his head "okay, step one two three, wide stance, step up in the pocket, sqaure up hips" ha. I dont mean to pick, you can just tell hes a little robotic, but I think its great hes putting in the time and really hope he does well because I thought he was a good kid.
He got into foul trouble very quickly, and my guess was that Buzz felt like the other guys were contributing more than Kerry displayed with his starting spot.
I won't go into any specific details with respect to Buzz and his game-time "emotions", but there seemed to be a lot of talk between Buzz and the bigs (Hamilton and Pierce, mostly) about how Shane actually came off the bench and took care of business. My guess, based on the little tidbits I could actually hear, is that Shane didnt earn his starting spot from recent practices. But when Buzz got desperate due to foul issues, Shane came through for Buzz...something Hamilton and Pierce could have done a better job. Key points were making free-throws and easy under-the-basket shots.
Not being a D-I coach myself, it is hard to say if the long-term benefits of " you practice well, you start" approach will outweigh the immediate needs we will have each game against tougher opponents. But in Buzz I trust, and I still love each and every one of our Hokies despite their mishaps on the court!
It would have been Bud Foster-like in quality. He was screaming into a towel for several portions of the game to make sure the cameras couldn't see him cursing out his players.
I thought the motto this year was #getbetter. After going 8-5, I'd say we're not going to match our win total from last year.
Buzz officially goes on the hot seat next year. If we don't become a .500 team by year four, Whit pulls the plug.
Couple things that may change your opinion on Kylo Ren. First, he didn't wipe out the Jedi trainees alone, the Knights of Ren helped. That was the organization he joined when he turned to the dark side. They are some kind of anti-Jedi faction that emerged post-rebellion. He's also not a Sith Lord. Otherwise his name would be Darth ____. He's only party trained, sort of self-taught, and 100% impulsive and emotional. Kylo's use of a light saber after his time training as a Jedi has pretty much exclusively been against people /not/ wielding their own saber; but I agree that Finn & Rey both seem to be a little TOO proficient with it for never having used one before...
I would definitely say it's geared toward the working professional. This past semester my class was taught by Cindy Mester, Falls Church Assistant City Manager, from the NoVa site. The setup appeared to be similar to Richmond. I've found it easy to take one class each semester, but I know some folks have taken two at a time. The classes meet once a week for three hours, video conferences with a separate content channel (for powerpoint or whatever). A few hours per week of reading, a couple of writing assignments, and at least one group assignment in each class (so far).
Any reason given as to why Buzz and team didn't do any interviews?
Joey, any word on why Blackshear didn't play after 1st 3 minutes?

Our loses:
4-7 Alabama St: bad no excuse
10-1 ISU: was #4 at the time until their loss
12-1 Northwestern: only loss to #9 UNC
10-2 St Joes: their only loses to Florida and #8 NOVA
11-1 WVU: only loss to #10 UVA
I think we have played some pretty solid teams (with exception to Alabama St). I think Northwestern and St Joes are better then what people see, and WVU and Iowa St are tournament teams. I think playing the teams we have played may benefit us come ACC play more so then it did last year
We still have talent issues, and depth issues that take a couple recruiting cycles to fix. Buzz really has only had one full length recruiting cycle. We need talent, depth and or experience at the point guard position. Our point guard position needs to have at least 2 of those characteristics to even compete. Very few teams are lucky to have all three. You would not believe how better everyone else on the court will be when we are set at point guard. Robinson is young and lacks experience, Allen lacks experience, and Wilson just isn't a starting ACC caliber guard IMO (he is just what is left)

And 35-6 is still possible
I never want to play Miss St in a neutral site game. Those cowbells are so annoying.

Given JJ was paid $5 mln plus 2% of the box office gross for the first one, I'm sure he'd like to get a piece of the next movie.
there were a few moments where the humor stood out to me in a bit of an annoying way but overall I thought it was generally okay

His other problem is getting in foul trouble quickly so Buzz doesnt have the option of playing him. Look at today, he played 16 minutes and fouled out. He is also a senior so when Buzz weighs giving time to learn lessons, he is going to have less rope because the return on investment is over a shorter period than when Blackshear or Pierce get out there to learn something.
Naw, there's been silly humor throughout all of the episodes. The droids have always been largely comic relief, plus I'd rather not remind you of Jar-Jar Binks.
I found it light enough to prevent the movie from being too dark and broody but not so much that I couldn't take the movie as a whole seriously.
As for Rey, I have a theory that she is somehow kin to Luke
I think that is the super obvious scenario that is intended to be inferred. I think Rey is far more powerful with the Force at this stage than Luke was at a similar stage, though, her cognizance of the Force seems to go in and out. It's almost as though she forgets that she can use the Force at times but when she remembers to focus she has incredible power. It's weird.
I think we're supposed to assume that she is related to Luke and that may be where they go with it in Episode VIII. I wouldn't be shocked if they go a different route though. I'm just curious what that route would be. How will they explain her seemingly immense power?
Nope. I think to say he goes on the hot seat even next year is early. Buzz took over a program that was the remnants of a raging dumpster fire. He is only in year two right now, so we are still VERY much in the rebuilding process. We cannot be instant gratification in this situation. Buzz is a proven head coach, and IF Whit pulled the plug on this, there is absolutely no guarantee we would get as good a coach as Buzz is. We're looking at a team that is young, small, and inexperienced. Give it time. Patience is a virtue.
