That was a prep school for the Air Force. Not the Air Force academy. He will, to my understanding, have 3 years to play 2
From what I can tell, Motley, Evans, and Lawson all think "I'm the guy."
I think it could become a very healthy competition between all parties and could see that being very good for the future of VT's quarterback situation.
I officiated intramural basketball at tech for three years and found the block/charge was difficult on non breakaway type of plays when there are two or three people in the paint. An SEC ref came in and told us to look at the way a defender fell, if he fell pretty much square on his back it was a charge if he fell on either hip it was a block. I tried to think of a similar pattern for football and it seems logical that if a player makes contact with his facemask then it would be clean no matter what part of the body was contacted, any other part of the helmet should be reviewed. I also would like to see this called on offensive players who lower their head to ram through a tackle and make contact with the defender's head or neck.
Even with a lot of key pieces missing, Baylor is a lot better than GT this season.
Yet UNC held GT to 249 yards rushing, and won.
I also think that as fans, we tend to hear and see the same names and faces year after year after year. Even if the ref is just doing his job in a reasonably competent fashion, we're eventually going to know these refs. They cannot remain nameless and just "the ref" when we've seen them dozens of times calling our games. Picking on Ron Cherry is fun, and Lenny Wirtz was fair game for the big razz back in the day, but familiarity does breed contempt, especially when you are on the losing end of their call.
Chizik's defense was setup to not allow any big plays. I'm surprised this was the first time a team has run this type of offensive scheme against them this season.
Couple of angles here, and the same video as in the OP, only larger.

I was wondering why he was holding a towel over his mouth. That makes sense though.
I'm still amazed by what Baylor did to UNC. Baylor had no QB, their star RB out and star WR out. What do they do? They go into a Single Wing formation and bludgeon UNC to death like it's the 1940s. That had to be demoralizing for the Tar Heels.
This is an intriguing and insightful comment. Look, if you have to play the officials too, why not acknowledge it and do just that?
Probably people who bought season tickets for the Ohio State game and sold off the rest. My guess is they won't be in those seats again next year.
Nobody do that Kudu like you do.
Siri says #38 is a DB. If this happened at Tech I think you would see Foster tackling #38 and taking the ball back to Auburn
Hmmm, that's the pot...oh...nevermind.
I said ECU was on the defense
We may need it in order to be able to compete with the new dirty loluva team persona. Oh yeah, add the sarcastica thing.
Amazingly, NC State is showing some signs of life.
Well, I had the same feeling when I returned from a trip and checked TKP before watching the recorded game. Really wasn't thinking or I wouldn't have done it, but I almost didn't watch the game. There were some bright spots in the first half. We looked decent for a while against the press and even after falling behind, we came back within two a couple of times and almost looked for a moment like we might compete somewhat. There were, as mentioned above, a few nice individual plays, but if you are a fan, you can sorta watch it with a filter and just look for the things we did right. Overall, though, the inability to finish around the rim stood out to me, as well as the obvious differential in talent on the court. I have disliked Huggins since the old Metro days while watching him scream and berate his players, and dislike him more now that he is coaching our cousins, but they have a nifty team that we just couldn't match up with. I'd say watch it, but keep the remote in hand and finger on FF.
I had impaired hearing after the LSU-Mississippi State game.
I never want to hear another cowbell.
I must agree. The guy has a lot of talent, but cannot channel it. Really good players recognize their practical limitations and work within them.
?
NC State just got absolutely jobbed.
I'm really hoping that sort of thing doesn't migrate to VT.
