lack of calls when we drive or take shots in the lane is frustrating
The refs are calling this game like shite....we have 4 fouls going for a rebound that is a free ball and then they call nothing on a major contact with Leday and then call some bullcrap contact on seth away from the ball on inbounds...damn.
and our third foul with turnover because we cant break the press man to man
Wow Buzz was pissed at someone calling that timeout, not sure if it was Devin for getting beat or Leday for not helping but Buzz is losing his mind over there. Our coaches need to get him away from the refs when he is in that mode.
They're mugging LeDay down low with no consequences.
Pretty ridiculous that we already have four players with two fouls each
Another one of my common criticisms of the ACC hoops bunch. Being a showboat (1) is poor officiating mechanics, and (2) is unprofessional. When a story on officials is the lead story (Karl Hess) it just detracts from the game. I had the PRIVILEGE of working games with a guy named Chase Vaden (son of NBA VP, Dir of Officials Don Vaden) in the Lynchburg area, and it was an amazing experience just by osmosis. Be friendly but not familiar, smile, laugh, know your rule book inside out, watch your own film to get better every game, and use really good positioning and mechanics. That's all it takes to be a superior official.
This is giving me Deja vu of some of the games we've played in recent years....
At what point do people start throwing unfounded views about the new OC based on this game?
When you are playing against freshmen, and have full grown man beards to boot its going to show the age gap. #1 Holton is 24 though.
Bob Huggins' mumu ain't foolin' anyone.
Call it in the air -
Tails, I win.
Heads, you lose.
So Kylo Ren's story seems inconsistent. He was trained by Luke at a young age and apparently powerful enough to wipe out the entire Jedi training camp by himself. Then he trained under the new emporer for some period of time with the dark side. However he struggles in a light saber duel with Fin (who never even turned on a light saber) and is held in check by a girl who figured out she had the force for like 4 hours.
A bit disappointing the dark side is not as bad ass, as in prior films - Darth Maul, Anakin and Vader were all pretty ruthless warriors when it was time to fight - Ren, not so much.
I joined around June this year. I've enjoyed receiving the HokieSports magazine periodically.
I guess they're not interested in establishing the run
And Obi Wan's excuse for his style is what? Don't say old age because if anything, Yoda is proof that age is just a number when you watch him flying around in the prequels. The meek appearance of Yoda due to his age is just deception. Luke proved he was nimble as you watch him above the Sarlacc pit. He has the ability to jump, flip, and do all the stuff from the prequels, but in a lightsaber battle, it's not about that as told by the original trilogy.
"Seth Allen....with an open lane to the basket....loses it out of bounds." Le sigh.
Edit: Okay I'm going to take this comment back. Allen came to ball and has saved our skin way more than he's been a liability so far.
Looking on the bright side, we will enjoy spending their money.
To be fair, they've had a team for a while.
VT hasn't.
You remind me of the people on Wall Street who win on either side of the bet.
They did however change the WatchESPN app so any game they are showing on one of their channels is also available streaming on the WatchESPN app.
touche. fixed

I hate to break it to you....but the ACC is weak as shit. I would not be at all surprised if Clemson loses in spectacular fashion to OU.
I do think that, at least in the Coastal, the ACC did vastly improve the coaching pedigree this off-season. Let's see if it pans out. I think right now, and over the last 5 years, the ACC is and has been the weakest or second weakest of the P5 conferences. What really hurts the ACC is not having a national power. FSU 2 years ago and Clemson this year have been blips but the league lacks a consistent national contender (think OSU, Bama). I think the coaching up-grades could lead to better teams and more OOC wins for the league in a few years but only time will tell. As of right now, the ACC is garagegarbage. It's tough to argue otherwise.
edit: oops
Unfortunately no, they usually drop it to 1580 AM if it isnt on those other two FM stations.

I know WVU is a good press team but this is just painful to watch. Breaking the press and trying to get a pass in bounds have been cringe worthy.
