There is still no announced LB coach.
I could see him taking a year off and picking the best college opportunity that comes open next year. I just don't see his scheme ever being great in the NFL. What interests me is what conference would he fit best in? He could try to crack the code in the SEC against great defenses. He could try to explode into the scene in the ACC. Stay comfortable in the PAC12. Join the land of no defense in the big12. Big10 already has the best positions filled.
I finally saw the movie last night. I have just one question, am I the only person that doesn't want Rey to be Luke's daughter. For me the Force awakening in people that are not Skywalkers would be huge. There where other Force users before the Skywalkers, why not after them too.
If he made the move to defense with Bud, I don't think that would be a problem. There just isn't enough positions to find him a role though.
I don't think we have any room for him on the field based on who's coming from Memphis. I think we're at the limit.
The rumor I've heard is that he won't be left unemployed, but it would be some sort of administrative role. I doubt that happens though, he'll find a job that fits. It would be great to see him land a head coaching position at a small school so he can begin climbing the ladder.

Yea, I agree... I think it would kind of be like having a 'silent evaluation' against how things used to be hovering over you constantly, just from Shane's presence... Nothing negative meant by this, but just a potential feeling from keeping him on staff.
I think so....He already has to follow a legend, why would you want to keep the legend's son on staff? I really like Shane but for the betterment of the program I think Fuente has to keep him off the staff, at least for a few years.
Just spit-balling here, but wouldn't it be kind of awkward for Fuente if he keeps Shane?

well...he's the shiny-er new-er toy. He's also regarded as "Fuente's guy" because he was recruited by Fuente before this year. He's also a JUCO which I think many people regard as more advanced than High School recruits.
Is he superior? I really don't think anyone truly knows. The way I see it, there is nothing wrong with additional competition, right? Throw Motley, Lawson and Evans into a full blow QB battle and may the best man win. That can't be a bad thing. At worst, we'll get the Motley we had in 2015. He was serviceable under Lefty. I'm sure Fuente can structure an offense around his skill set. That is where my expectations are at the moment. If one of the other two guys turns out to be better suited to achieve the goals we want on offense then I'll be happy with that decision. I trust Fuente and his OC to put the best possible combination of players on the field to score points and get wins.

Haha, FIFA is far worse in terms of corruption, but the NCAA takes the cake in officiating. FIFA is just ignorant, in my opinion, in regards to officiating. Soccer is still stuck in this mindset that an entire match can be judged by three guys, only one of which is on the field. That's their excuse, NCAA doesn't have one.
Mucho benefits from retaining Bud, Wiles, Gray & Burden. Personally I like Shane a lot but if he has a desire to become HC material, he needs to go pursue that.
