QB commits are great for getting momentum to build a class. Getting a QB of his caliber is 1) great for the QB room, and 2) makes it more likely that other 4-star recruits follow.
This is exactly what I thought of when that happened. I'll remember exactly where I was for both of those saves for the rest of my life.
IMO It's still better for perception to have a highly-rated guy commit and enroll and then later transfer out than to never commit at all. Unless the transfer becomes some dramatic or scandalous thing. If it's just average transferring that is rampant across CFB now, then people won't think much of it at the time.
Tried to make an important update. It did its best lol

Something about red, white, and blue masks.

save of the century

This was an informative post, I'll give it a pass.
Shouldn't it be a Scrooge McDuck style picture with all your turkey legs? I don't think this is all of them.
the decision wasn't poorly made, the specific purpose was to keep the rain off of practice. The temps were not a concern because practicing at outside temps = learning to endure cold/heat = being ready to play in cold/heat
Practice priorities are different these days, with roster turnover resulting in many more key contributors needing "quality" reps at the fundamental elements of the offense/defense playbook. In the past they'd have picked that mastery up over a couple years in the system. Now they often only have a couple of months. So playbook mastery & execution becomes a much higher priority for practice than matching possible weather conditions, etc.
Solid reference
I think that's more of an issue across football than it was with Pry.
I share Wagoneer's view, but not from a place if VT inferiority. I don't think any fan of any team should *expect* that a QB signee would ever play a down for their team.
Even if he signs with us, the way thing are he will probably be on team #3 by the time he hits the field in college
That was under the old regime tho, where QB recruits would "commit" to VT in order to decrease their star rating. Hopefully that is changing for the better. But I'll believe it when I see it.
I want to be excited about a quarterback that might play in 2-3 years, but I can't. Even if he signs with us, the way thing are he will probably be on team #3 by the time he hits the field in college.

Very happy for the W and love that Neo finally had another good game, but in those highlights I see a lot of Wake players just standing around and/or out of position.
From the Work Chronicles desk calendar my wife got me for Christmas:
Employee #1: Mondays are the worst. I hate Mondays.
Employee #2: You don't hate Mondays. You hate your job.
Employee #1: Great. Now I hate other days of the week as well.
Perfect for a Monday at a PE-owned firm!
Suck it, Quebec
The foxridge logo has me rolling

The golf trip to Greensboro is coming into focus:

Tot Hill Farm
Can't wait to tee it up.
I think she is the main reason anyone stayed after Brooks left. She brought them together to stay as a team.

I was actually going to stop putting two spaces after a period until I found out how much it bothers people.
