Wow, I don't know much about basketball beyond "ball in hoop scores points", but this is baaaaaad basketball.
You arent the only one. I have had it cut out at least three times so far.
So from yesterday it dawned on me after reading the jjcopeland post here that recruiting is MUCH more than just a coach. We ( or maybe just I ) tend to think its all on the coach recruiting the kid and thats it. But after looking at a lot of the other programs around the country's support staffs, its pretty clear why we had fallen off in recruiting lately. I know we dont list all of our football staff positions but I am certain we arent even close to Georgia's Staff.
I really dont know much about the process, but from the outside looking in, it looks like:
Two years ago we were still using typewriters, Whit came in and hired some people and we got dial-up internet, now we look like were heading in the direction of being on par with where we should have been 5 years ago. It really looks like we just didnt have the man-power that we should have had for being a national program.
4 on 1 fastbreak and a STJ defender knocks the ball off of Seth Allen's leg. Ugh
Seth Allen had a 4 on 1, forced the shot, and turned it over.

# | OT: FIFA bans Sepp Blatter, their own current President, from the game for 8 years We're hosting the Copa America Centenario next summer, so that is a pretty good representation of host venues.
frustrating to see a 4-on-1 come up empty like that
bad defensive rotations wilson needs to learn to shoot clarke jus needs to shoot and stop driving they are keying on it.
are we a second half team?
Haven't read article yet, but is Michael getting a degree while he's here?
The exclusivity of the this facility to the football players is what will burn this to the ground. There is no way in hell this flies. It will at the very least get opened up to all student-athletes. Hopefully Clemson is smart enough not to contest things legally when the hammer starts to drop, because you're exactly right, this could be the tipping point in groundbreaking reform.
ive seen alot of open shots missed so far
Anybody else lose the feed, or is it my connection?
Pretty poor shot selection by our guys. Painful watching this terrible video feed from ESPN. Sad that the Emerald Classic feed was so much better than the sports juggernaut in television.
Wow... this team is still really bad...
Well done VTuba! Excellent reporting!
I lived in Cochrane as a non-athlete...
The only nice thing was having west end so close, which contributed to my freshman 40.
Got it. Thanks.
2022 was ours, but Qatar stole it with bribes, and the winter thing will be an utter shitshow. We'll probably get 2026 or 2030. especially if anyone but Sheikh Sulamon wins the FIFA presidency.
I think we are arguing the same point, From the report:
On a player-by-player or even team-by-team level, guessing who specifically will or will not live up to the hype, or will thrive despite a lack of hype, is almost always a fool's errand. But the foundation underlying those predictions remains remarkably stable. The key is to think in terms of groups, not individuals.
Yes, 4 or 5 stars have a greater percentage as a whole of being studs, as a whole. But Drew Harris, Holland Fisher while at Virginia Tech, their success rate is 0, not 75% like the group of 4 star, and thats not to pick on them, or say they still cant be succesfull elsewhere.
The same can be said at the team level. Michigan state. Iowa. Georgia. Individual teams dont always live up to the claim, but in groups they do. All teams aggregated out who grade in the top 20 recruiting classes vs the sum of the whole who do not stands true, but not all teams in the top 20 individually have winning records against those who are not.
Basically, my main point is, which came off a little strong in hindsight, I agree, is that maybe the athlete were looking for, in fact happens to be, the 2* athlete. I think Virginia Tech's team is a pretty good indication, our studs have in a lot of cases, been under the radar kids.
When did Hamilton get back?
I will just say this. If you're not willing to share whats in the link, its not worth posting the link. What you're doing is essentially advertising for 247 and trying to get people from here to pay money over there to see content you're advertising over here.
That's bullshit.
TKP and 247, as awesome as both sites are, are competitors putting out their own content, and you're coming across as trying to steal some of the users away from here. Posting links with zero context or explanation to their paywall is pretty bush league, and I'm kinda surprised that its being allowed to continue. If you have something of value to add, please do, but knock this crap off.
Amarillo is nice, and is technically a city, and definitely Texas. Strangely none of my Baylor friends ever really comment on Waco, so I'm not sure how it is, but your Branch Davidian joke game is strong. And your buddy must have lived down south near Pasadena, which is inescapably pungent, though that doesn't really extend north of the outer loop. And Houston is so damn big, you could avoid Stinkadena altogether and still fully experience the city. But at least now I understand where you were coming from, and I'll try and refrain from being so aggressively Texan in the future.
Johnny Hamilton sighting!

If I'm not mistaken, he's getting his master's in Curriculum and Education. Seems like a good degree to have for someone who wants to coach or will have to teach HS to be a coach.
My question is how is he taking all of his classes online? My wife has that degree and it involves student teaching. My wife asked me and my best answer was, "He's the QB of the football team. I guess the professors you had built online courses for him to take and they probably fudge some student teaching hours on a log sheet somewhere."
