This is the truth. We found a decent match up where the desire to play on a regular basis was mutual and used that to fill the schedule. My only gripe is that it's every year. I would have preferred to break it up so that it would be home-away-break and repeat so we could change it up a bit in those off years. Most of the hatred of this matchup is spurred from us losing to them. The solution is to win. There's not a reasonable argument to hate them.

# | OT: BYU is down to few options for new Head Coach I mean, BYU cannot be an attractive job for MOST. You need to be an LDS member, limited recruiting pool, AND the expectation of winning. Its that last part that I think is hard. You have to be competitive, but limited in your resources. I guess if you're a really innovative coach that may not deter you.

# | New Head Hokie Justin Fuente Lays Out His QB Preferences, Plans for Staff Transition I was happy to read that he is trying to develop his coaches. To me its a sign of a great manager and mentor. While we may see more turnover of coaches it should be positive turnover. Promotions. One day we could be discussing the success of the Fuente coaching tree.

Glad to see he's staying at Navy. I really like that guy and would actually prefer to play Navy than ECU
I came to this thread expecting news about whether ECU was going to continue to be on the schedule or not. Came to thread, saw no new information, saw this gif. Upvoted the gif.
People just don't seem to understand how difficult it can be to schedule games.
Except that spot wouldn't be filled with a P5 school more than likely. It would be filled by another mid-major team on ECU's level.
so have I. and I hate that feeling. That is precisely why I don't want them to have any hope ever.

People complain about how boring our uniforms are now, can you imagine how much more they would complain with those?
No you wouldn't change techniques. PI calls happen, the majority of the time because the DB in coverage has to make up ground on an open receiver.
Looking at the depth chart next year (Link Here), I don't whether to be excited or frightened about our defense next year.
I believe they told Ken they wanted him but not his offense. Their loss.
Going in, their list had about 6 names on it.

Excellent observation on Alexander not quitting even in the end zone. This epitomises the saying "it's not winning or losing that matters it's how you play the game." If our players put that kind of effort in at every position how we play the game will likely lead to more winning.
It does seem like PIs were getting called a lot more frequently this year and the commentators kept harping on not turning your head (not that what commentators say is all that smart to begin with). I guess the question is do we change techniques if it looks like PI calls are going to become an issue?
