but there's no NLI for early enrollees, and the NLI for regular enrollees cannot be signed before February...
On the other hand, signing the non-binding-on-the-player financial aid paperwork for spring enrollment is still an excellent predictor of enrollment.

Let's be honest French, most of the heisman voters are just as big of Homers as anyone else. Tony and Wilbon were talking the other day of how ridiculous the voting has gotten and how so many unqualified people get to vote. There are over 1,000 voters and everyone has an agenda. There will be ppl who always vote for a QB, or for someone from their conference. Do you think it's possible that you subconsciously think the best player is Watson becuase you watch more ACC games and don't get to watch West coast games? How can you honestly have the Stanford RB at #4 behind a guy that didn't get invited? He broke a 30 year NCAA record for all purpose yards. c'mon man

I think Watson has been the best player, but Mayfield played behind an abysmal offensive line. To elevate his team like that (Clemson is better around Watson), especially being a transfer and former walk on, is really impressive.

Hell fucking yes. I moved to Winston Salem after undergrad at tech because my GF got into the Wake Law school, and this school is a hotbed for footballl talent. This guy has as they would say "all the measurable's " 6'4 And over 200 lbs in high school! Damn those are good genes.

Because he is a hell of a recruiter, he got a lot of kids from the DC area to come out and play at Illinois as well as turning the offense around.
I'm sure this can be confirmed. It looks just about as legitimate as it gets to me.
Beamer is getting old but it still seems a bit harsh for these kids to be calling him a goat.
VT DOES need to get the best recruits in state. We used to. We no longer do. Hence the last four years of mediocrity. All the talent does not have to come in state. But the best talent in state must come to VT. And that has not happened the last 4 years, which is why the program has declined.
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure FBS and FCS still have the same 20 hours/week rule, do they not?

I dont disagree with you and those were all great players and I think it is in our best interest to find these players. I guess my main point is that for some reason some regions put out certain positions better than others. There are some great pass rushers in Va that we miss out on. To find good receivers, we will probably have to go out of state for the most part. Even with all the athletes in Va there isnt a lot of receivers year in and year out. We also havent had the best luck with O-linemen in Va as well. Kind of weird but it seems to work out that way

Not to be a negative nancy, but he seems to have a "hitch" in his motion - seems to make his throws die near the end of a long throw too. Kinda like Tebow or Tyrod before it got fixed. Anyone else notice that?
Seems to me that Texas can throw money at the problem, but also even if this is only two years, if you could improve Texas in two years, you probably can write your own ticket.
