My reaction to this post was:

Hmmm, interesting idea. I wonder what that actually means.
Wait, this is a joke.
Does "rumor" mean it's been posted somewhere and I've missed it?

Wait, this is a joke.
This is definitely a joke.
The fact that this was even plausible for a moment in my mind is both upsetting to me and hilarious.

Well done.

Sorry, I watched our offense be extremely inept for much of the season. You can take this as you want, but it's the truth. I don't hate Loeffler the man at all, he seems like a great person, but you cannot deny what I said, it is fact. Nothing I said was hateful.

It's ECU, not like we are talking about him battling for UGA or USCe (though his name did come up). I know they are moving up, but they are still where they are.

He has a lot of position coaching experience, has been an assistant HC, and I think in this day and age, some AD's are looking for someone who will hire great minds under him. Plus, he has coaching tree. Imagine he is stuck on something, he can call his dad.

I don't agree that fewer bowls would be such a good thing:
1 - You get to put off the offseason dregs a little bit longer (speaking of which, I wonder if we could get some bowls added after the spring games...), and coaches get another showcase opportunity for recruiting prospects.
2 - You get to see matchups you'd never see under any other venue. This is ironic as in another post there was some pretty good discussion about how long the hiatus' were for ACC foes based upon the league schedule restraints. Bowls won't fix that, but it addresses the issue with seeing more varied matchups. One of the things I love the most about college football is how diverse the offensive and hence, defensive approaches are.

Impressive.

I have to say that I'm excited about Lawson, but at this point we need depth at QB. I would be thrilled if we got this guy and I would hope that Lawson would stick around. Just because this guy comes here does not mean that he would be the guy.

Lawson has all of the tools, a coach that develops QBs, and is still young. As someone else pointed out, stick around and compete for the spot.

Damnit, I'm embarrassed. I seriously envisioned some new fangled concept that he came up with where he has the DC and the OC switch coaching positions mid game just to throw off the play calling sequence...

Right. Multiple backs isn't the issue. It's the implementation part we couldn't get right.

Since we didn't have a guy like Billy Hite who knew how to rotate, it was better for us to just pick one and stick with it. (Travon was a good pick)

You never know. ECU may just be swinging for the fences. Dabo was once a 38 year old position coach who got promoted to head coach.

Since I live in Rosslyn and work in DC I just take the metro. But, today I'm driving to Tech after work. I get to enjoy getting out of the city on a Friday evening taking 66 west. If this doesn't show how much I care about my girlfriend I'm not sure what does.

Maybe I wanted to point out how miserable he did... more likely though I am too lazy to look on my own.
