#sauces? I really don't buy your story that he was pissed when they told him. If 1) they had to tell him and 2) he was pissed about it, then I'd be pretty concerned about his future in any profession. The writing was on the wall....He should have been putting out feelers as soon as Beamer announced his retirement. I just don't buy that he would be surprised/pissed by this move. That doesn't make any sense. He knows how this profession works and he's had to pick up and move before. This is nothing new to him.

I have no problem with a rotation of fairly equally talented backs, I think the main problem this year was that we had one running back performing head and shoulders above the rest, but somehow took what seemed like forever to get the share of carries his production seemed to merit

Slow down there pal. VA is not turning into Texas, California, or Florida in terms of talent. They have talent, but not in abundance. A quick search of the top 250 players on 247 reveals that 37 are from California, 36 from Texas, 37 from Florida, and 5 are from VA. Maryland has 8, DC has 3, and North Carolina has 10. So even if you look at our main geographic footprint for recruiting, we still have less total blue chips in that area than all of them. Nobody produces like those 3 states do.

Here's a mockup I did incorporating some of mine & fernley's ideas. The color coding is as follows:

Orange - Student Section
Maroon - General Seating, prices vary
Green - Media Row (existing)
Blue - ADA (existing)
Red - Luxury Suites
Yellow - Loge Box
Black - Expanded Rows (more legroom)

Using my best guesses, the luxury suites knock out 300, the net loss from loge boxes is about 150, and the net loss from the rows with more legroom is about 150 as well (you'd lose one row on each side entirely, and the seats would likely be a little larger).

So overall, this arrangement would be a net loss of about 600, but it would give a few different options to interested parties. When I have more time, I'll do a mockup of Cassell with corner suites and figure out the numbers in that configuration.
