Don't forget the jurassic sized mosquitoes.
Swarms.
Good point.
Yea, #12 showed what he was made of, and it wasn't impressive.
he might be doing that anyway, what with millions of dollars in the family already.
What I mean is that I have been trying to keep track of Memphis coaching hires too for new staff and it seems they are just rolling with whatever Fuente requires. They don't seem in a hurry to fill positions nor do they seem all that concerned that staff is being grabbed by Fuente on an as needed basis. I get that Vice coaching and recruiting for Memphis at this point is probably not make or break for them, but still they seem very nonchalant about the whole process and fact that he is taking at least half the staff and going after some recruits.
LOL, that's one way to get the ball I guess
well, according to video they said Memphis threw the first punch, but not sure where they saw that or how sure they can be on that because from what is shown you can't tell. But that #12 on BYU looks like a punk. If you watch the video you can catch where he comes into one of the groups late swinging haymakers around and then gets absolutely clocked by a Memphis player resulting in his black eye and cut. Then he sucker punches the wrong guy. Loser.

# | Per Memphis Beat Writer, New Hokie OL Coach Vance Vice to join VT immediately I'd do anything for another season of Kenny Powers.
If LOLUVA could win 10 games next year then we would be a shoe in for the natty.
His team played Fuente's team, and they managed to lose both the game and the brawl. He'll fit in well in Hooville.
And after Mendenhall gets fired in a few years, we'll say we beat a rented Bronco.
Well, they know who their coach is and they know Vice won't be there. It makes zero sense for him to be recruiting for Memphis, so right now he's really just dead weight from that standpoint. I'm sure they'd prefer that he stay for the bowl game, but it's not gonna cripple the program or anything. Heck of an opportunity for that GA though.
5-7 teams? Shoot, 80 teams are going bowling this year.

Good news is we may see the offense score more points than they did against Purdue. I was planning on watching from my parents' couch anyways, so this is actually better for me.
You do realize that under the bowl system at the time, Orange Bowl was the #1 ACC pick (which is where GT went to), and Chick-fil-a had #2 (and took VT), right?
Maybe Clemson has a gripe, getting passed over by a 6-6 team, but everything was done within the rules of the time.
For the same reason Bryan Stinespring won't be an OC anytime soon. Under his watch (even more damning is the fact that he didn't even have Newsome to blow things up for him), Memphis went from good to bad on defense in one year. No one not named Kiffin is going to advance their career with results like that.
Now explain 2010 Gator Bowl? ACC allowed 6-6 FSU team to jump GT, VT and Clemson.
GT won the conference and went to the BCS game.
Chick-fil-a had the next pick of ACC teams, and took 9-3 VT, instead of 8-5 Clemson who lost the ACCCG.
The rule at the time was that a team could be selected within two wins of the next available team. Gator Bowl had the third pick, and could take a 6-6 team instead of an 8-5 team.
So, there was no jumping of either Tech.
I think the whole "father-son" dream AT ALL may be in jeopardy for the poor guy in the gif above. WTF! It may be time to call Kalfus and Nachman on the hurtline.
Don't forget the "Mission Accomplished" shirts for when we beat ECU.
Looks a lot like VT's results....lost to some good teams and never beat anyone decent
Tell that to the Pitt fans. They are melting down on twitter in epic fashion and from the comments on their SB Nation site, the commentors are pretty upset as well. They seem really angry with the ACC. Maybe they should be angry with their administration.
I think this is his first year as DC. And Memphis had a serious step backward in their defense.
He's also probably, as Wiggins says, "Hooked his wagon to Fuente".
Haha, yeah, I'm not used to this forum system and missed the replies until tonight.
I wish! I will be working that night. Uncle Sam conveniently neglected to mention that "service before self" would include placing me 10 minutes away from a football stadium where the Hokies would be playing.

I wish they would change the whole Bowl system.
I like the playoffs. I am not a fan of a huge playoff system. So far this is working, at most I can see a 8 team format for that, but I hope it stays at 4.
But I think there should be a return to Bowl prestige. Make it so there are money bowls and non-money bowls. only teams with winning records in the season, having won at minimum 7 games, should be rewarded with "money" bowls that have big sponsorship and arranged through a random selection lottery, no Bowl tie ins. But the money for these bowls are standardized. the swag bag can change. (Bowl tie in system sucks ass, and yes I know this mean VT would be out) Then the rest of the 6-6 teams and maybe some 5-7 teams get basically a free for all matchup in regional bowls that can be arranged conference to conference through the lower level sponsors with the caveat that you must play someone OOC.
Playoffs and "Money" bowls are prestigious and automatic National coverage. Non-money bowls are less so and regional coverage, unless an interesting match-up organically happens and gets pushed to National coverage.
I want to see Bowls matter again, and I love seeing oddball pairings of teams that have never faced each other before. i think that is what makes bowl games exciting.
that's just me. I think that would be damn exciting.
