I believe "fleek" is a combination of "fly" and "sleek". No idea why its always preceded by the "on".

Because it originally came from "en flique", which is french slang for police, and was slang for policing one's eyebrows (on point, or sharp, or policed) in beauty salons.

From there it escaped to the general hip community. Go figure.

I usually try to laugh it off but most of the time I just end up frustrated with their arbitrary superiority complex that some/most UT fans possess.

The last 5 years should show that if anything, depth at DB has been problematic and that we've had a ton of injuries at that position.

that being said if UNC beats Clemson I don't think the ACC gets a team in the dance. Clemson will drop and UNC won't climb high enough from where they're currently ranked to get in. Unless Florida wins. That would really jack a lot of stuff up. Would be fun to watch though!

My Step Brother (who has no ties to either university) has told me recently that he's hired about an equal number of Hoos and Hokies and he says that without a doubt Hokies outperform Hoos on a consistent basis. He sounded both surprised and impressed when he told me that. Hokies are just more well prepared for work and they tend to have a better attitude towards the job and people in general. His words, not mine.

Of course, none of this comes as much of a surprise to us but I wanted to share some real feedback from an unbiased perspective.

Sure do! Along with the usual "chokies", "Never won a national championship", "Beamer only retired because he was afraid to play Tennessee in Bristol", "You don't even play anyone like we do in the SEC", "We're technically undefeated because if we could change one play per game we would've won", "Our stadium is bigger than yours", "What even is a Hokie?", "You don't have the history we have", "PEYTON MANNING", "1998 FOREVERZ" "We're back, Baby!" "Power-T is way better than Enter Sandman" and that's just to name a few.

Those of you who don't live in SWVA should be grateful that you don't have to deal with this on a daily basis. Our Alumni Hall store in Bristol is divided up with VT and UT gear and you can just feel the tension when you walk in the door, it's unreal. Like I said, give me UT hate month starting in August. I am ready.

Rank at time of game means jack shit. Rankings in the first 5 weeks are guess work.

I understand what you're saying, TCU, Baylor, and OKSt haven't played any good OOC teams, so how do we know how good these teams actually are? That being said, what ACC team has UNC beat with a marque win? I just think you're giving UNC far too much credit. If they beat Clemson this week - it's a different story.

I understand the critics have asked why I didn't announce I was retiring at the end of the season, as some other coaches have done. I felt that if I had done this, I would have been a distraction throughout the remainder of the season about my last game everywhere I went. I did not want a "Spurrier Farewell Tour." The players deserve to be the story of each game.

To assume that Sakerlina would have reacted this way to a Spurrier retirement announcement is, at best, an uncertain proposition. Right or wrong, the consensus among the Cocks fanbase was that the Visor had failed to live up to the assumed promise of his hiring. He never got them to the heights they had dreamed. (Whether any dream that has USCe atop the SEC East is realistic is another debate.) So while there might have been some recognition of the twilight of a hall of fame coaching career, I think it's much more likely that an announcement of an end-of-season retirement would have actually created more apathy about the current season, as an already disengaged fanbase would have just waited out the rest of a lame duck season in anticipation of what the future held. And I think it was specifically this lack of a "Spurrier Farewell Tour" (and I do believe Steve knew exactly where he stood in the minds of the fans) that led him to a hasty and unceremonious exit.

Yea I have to say that when it comes to players, recruits, and parents most any coach is going to say this no matter what the actual situation is. Basically I take this with a huge grain of salt.
