I would be pretty worried about Richt at Miami, but I'm not sure he will be there for a very long time, I could be wrong, but he was already considering not coaching at all a few days ago.
Doesn't look like a mullet in the video, not that there's anything wrong with a mullet. Looks like our QB may get more time before being mauled, based purely on past Memphis O line stats. Let's hope that is the case.

# | Loeffler's Adjustments Help Fuel a Victory in Beamer's Commonwealth Cup Swan Song I have nothing bad to say about Loeffler. Yeah, at times I popped off frustrated at this or that play call, but you are going to get that with literally any OC.
Yes, he could have done a better job tailoring his offense to what our athletes could do. And I won't apologize for my frustration at seeing the BS deep bomb after a turnover that was simply too predictable to be worth it.
But at the end of the season, there are a ton of points left on the field because of poor throws, or simply missed reads.
If we looked back at all the game film, I'd bet you'd find 2 TDs missed per game.
Not to say Brewer or Motley or the O-Line are bad, just that they all had bad moments that derailed a sure TD play that Loeffler called.
IMO, the real tragedy is that Beamer didn't make the change 2 to 3 years earlier. I think if we had a competent OC before the recruiting misses and injuries started piling on, we would have weathered those injuries better, and maybe not have missed as much on the recruiting trail.
I think Loeffler's offensive strategies could pay off huge at a blue-chip school that regularly pulls in great recruits and is willing to give him a few seasons to get the O going.

apparently LOLUVa had a handshake deal with Mark Sanford (Notre Dame OC) a couple games before the end of the season. Then when it was apparent that Richt would become available, they told Sanford they needed to get back to him. Sanford told them to screw themselves and Richt chose Miami.

I think this statistic is useful, but has major caveats. For example, compare Coleman with McMillan. How many times have we seen Coleman go down on first contact in the backfield, compared to McMillan always able to turn a negative into a positive.
their Adjust line rate is 46th. I dont think their Oline is ranked 46th. They are ranked way better than we are in almost every other category. Misread, but still didnt merit that drastic of an overall line difference.

Yes, that's adjusted line rate. Which, is complicated, but can be simplified as follows (I think):
Take all RB rushes in a game, for each, the O-line will get a certain percentage of the yards attributed to them:
Loss of yards: 120%
0-4 yards: 100%
5-10 yards: 50%
11+ yards: 0%
Total up all the yardage, then Adjust based on opponent defense.
So, let's say a RB runs for 5 plays as follows: +2, +6, -3, +25, +5 = 35 yards for RB
O-line gets:
+2: 2*(100%) = 2
+6: 4*(100%)+2*(50%) = 5
-3: -3*(120%) = -3.6
+25: 4*(100%)+6*(50%)+15*(0%) = 7
+5: 4*(100%)+1*(50%) = 4.5
Thus, the O-line was responsible for 14.9 yards, which would be adjusted based on opponent.
I'm actually a huge Spurrier fan, and always will be. People just need to understand that he isn't wired like a lot of coaches are and that's one of things I love most about him.
He tells you how it is, whether you like it or not. And who cares if he has a big ego? Meyer, Saban, Stoops...they all have big egos. Winning championships will do that to you.

with 4 spots and 5 P5 conferences I think the likelihood of any league getting two teams in the playoff is really really low. If any league does it, it'll be the SEC (perception is strong)
