I think Schiano is a bully, so I don't really care who he brings in. His act would wear thin real quick in the Cville.
Teford's washed up. Dykes is a bit of a buffoon, but he can run an effective offense. He would make them interesting, but not feared or sustainably good.
I know Brown once was good, but all the problems we had with an older coach would now be their problems. And it's hard to pull a staff together for a 64 year old coach. It would take Brown a year or two to get the talent level up at UVA and by that time, he's like a year or two older than, you know, old.
Kids, a telegram is like a text message, except someone has to bring it to you on a piece of paper.
Kids, paper is a physical object made from boiled trees that people used to write on.
That...uh...doesn't look great?
I guess we have to take all of their stats with a grain of salt considering their overall lack of talent but...
Awesome.
After a quick Google search, I got it now!
Just so everyone knows what these stats mean...
75th (38.5%) in Opportunity Rate, 35th (72.0%) in Power Success Rate, and 79th (19.9%) in Stuff Rate
Opportunity Rate - This is the percentage of carries in which the offensive line "does its job" and produces at least five yards of rushing for the runner. (Generally speaking, the first five yards are considered the line's responsibility, the next five are split evenly between the runner and the line, and anything over 10 yards is all on the runner.)
Power Success Rate - this is the percentage of runs on third or fourth down, two yards or less to go, that achieved a first down or touchdown. Also includes runs on first-and-goal or second-and-goal from the two-yard line or closer.
Stuff Rate - This is the percentage of runs where the runner is tackled at or behind the line of scrimmage. Since being stuffed is bad, offenses are ranked from stuffed least often (No. 1) to most often (No. 125); for defenses, the opposite is true.

Seriously, you don't want your mustache anywhere near your nose.
Fellow Palmetto state Hokie here, living in Columbia. My perspective is Spurrier quit on his team, his excuses are excuses. He quit. I enjoyed Spurrier as a master of bitchcraft but in the end he's an innovative mind that up and Franchione'd his kids.
Joe Giglio is pretty much always on top of this, and he thinks VT is a lock to the Belk Bowl.
@WOLFBLOOD72 SEC side is very flexible, if VT doesn't want to play Tenn, then they'll take a different SEC team— Joe Giglio (@jwgiglio) December 3, 2015
Oh the memories of the whomping willow!!
I thought Searels was doing a decent job with what he had, but it's Fuente's choice.
Fuente trusts this guy, so I'm going to go with that. I guess we all are.
Anyone else read it like this?

If not, you should, it'll make you laugh.
The future of our offensive line is in the hands of this man:

Dykes is reportedly not happy at Cal and is willing to make a lateral, or even downward move in jobs to get out of there. Rumors have it that he wants to be back in his home state of Texas, though, so UVa seems like a longshot for him.
What reason does Spurrier have to direct animosity towards Frank? Spurrier takes his jabs at rival teams, and I don't have a problem with that. It's good for the game in healthy doses. I've never heard of any animosity between the two and don't sense it here. This just seems like we're head hunting for someone that hates Frank Beamer.
People have pretty short memories, I know Brown is old, but he still has a NC and only had 3 seasons at Texas that he finished less than 9 wins.
Brohm would be a really good hire for them, so I hope they dont go that route, I agree with you on the other three, Id be okay with a Tedford, Dykes or Schiano (depending on who Schiano brought in as Coordinators).
And to think that some in his generation give the younger folks crap for bad grammar while texting on our phones. I'm not seeing a whole lot of punctuation in that thing. Paying for all that punctuation...it'll get after ya!
Yeah it was a jab at Coach Beamer. Spurrier was wrong. I've looked and looked and looked at that photo of the players carrying Beamer off the field at Lane and can't find one senior that's pouting since it should be all about their last game.
Looks like I just found my new signature.
They should give that one to Beamer and put up a new one moving forward

I don't have that much faith in Clemson's defense. UNC is going to get lots of points. I think Chizik has a good shot to hold Clemson's O just enough that UNC's offense can get the win in a close game. I would not be surprised at all to see this game decided by 3 points either way.
