Agreed. It seems likes he tries to do too much.
Welp. One good thing, rumors of LeDay's fading into obscurity against superior competition may have been exaggerated. This game proves just how far away we are from being a serious tournament contender. I'll still be happy with 5-6 conference wins and a shot at the NIT this year.
That was some impressive preparation and performance for Herman and Houston today. The commentators even went into how Houston had prepared for the attack. Navy had to go to the air way more than normal to move the ball on them.
Let me correct your last point.
If Bud leaves, the year after, the defense will be a mess because no one will be an.e to run athe VT defense like he can. No one we can buy will be able to turn out the production he does with the resources he has available.
VT football will forever be changed and we'll have eradicated 50% of a championship caliber team.
The billy the kid club at Macados is great.
Allen..huge disappointment so far.
The offenses in tcu vs. Baylor don't know how to play in the rain.

# | Dan Wolken tweets Fuente to VT "is happening" but stops short of saying it is a done deal. What does Loeffler have to do with any of this?
Recruiting is very important. But turning players into NFL draft picks...particularly QBs is very important also. Again, as I stated, not trying to downplay Herman. The point was lets not downplay what Fuente has accomplished has well. Bringing one man down does nothing to elevate the other.
What's with the fixation of getting rid of Bud?
Leday came close to getting another double-double. It's too bad no one else is doing much, because he's been a huge surprise
True. And that's better than Mullen too. He's 0-2 against GT.
^This............In the early 2000s we were winning based on a strong running game, special teams and a great D. Tech is no longer dominating the OLine recruits in the region which has affected the running game. We still do really well in RB recruiting but the horses up front are not as dominate. So in order to overcome that deficiency we need a O that is less about power and more about deception. At least until we can get the profile back to where it was in the 2000s. Winning is the key. Recruit will improve if we win with a O that showcases the skill players.........
These have to be the most obnoxious casters I've ever had to listen to.
And we really need a secondary. I'd love to see him in burgundy and gold.
Yeah, man. That was pretty funny.
VT Beer fans are all over the place.
I'm in Asheville doing research
How many QBs has Loeffler developed into NFL picks? This is starting to sound familiar...
We're talking recruiting rankings and player development, two separate issues. And I'm not going to count Fuente's recruiting at TCU if we're not counting Herman at OSU. At the end of the day, I just want an awesome, functional offense that can score TDs.
Herman has also taken a former wide receiver and turned him into a Davey O'Brien and Maxwell finalist QB this year. I'd say that speaks volumes about his player development as well.
16 pt game. Just keep fighting guys!
Would love to see Kendall in DC, back home opposite Breeland..............I'm sure he will be available when the Skins pick...............
We are getting some better movement 2nd half.
Herman beat an option team. Soundly.
Mama Fuller didn't raise no fool. Make that money while you can, Kendall. Come back to college when your playing days are over, if needs be. Parking that Bentley in the commuter lot...
I tend to yell "HEY-Yooooo", with the HEY jumpstarting the volume and the yoooo just missing the pitch of the loudest person next to me.
Being off-key is very key. Sounds terrible, but real loud.
Bosnian Ganga music (warning: awful sounding) was performed by the highlanders to yell across mountains and valleys, which would explain why sounding so bad never worked better (for best results, open in new window and get ready to click the red x before your tolerance is exhausted):
For a lesser effect but a way better sounding song, thank the Georgians:

# | Dan Wolken tweets Fuente to VT "is happening" but stops short of saying it is a done deal. Just as you can say Fuente has never brought in higher than a 3 star (at Memphis not sure about TCU) you can also ask: How many Quarterback has Herman developed into early round NFL picks?
Fuente is getting ready to send his second.
Andy Dalton was a 3* and Paxton Lynch didn't really even have any D1 offers. I just heard it said in regards to Les Miles that the difference between coaches on the hot seat and not being is whether or not they get or develop a good Quarterback. Not really a ground breaking correlation but the guy has proven he can do it....he's done it twice without highly rated recruits.
Yeah I would say that is impressive. Not trying to knock Herman or anything...he would be a great hire. But I think we are underrating Fuente's resume.
Plus his family can easily buy an insurance policy on him. He may be back.

Was coming on here to say the same thing. He just really hasn't looked good at all on either end of the floor. A lot of people probably thought the productivity of him and LeDay would be reversed with Allen being the key cog when they came in.
