If he couldn't beat out Motley and saw the writing on the wall with Lawson he wasn't likely to get much playing time here. Especially if Loeffler continued to recruit a stud QB every cycle.

Personally, I too prefer the run-first spread offenses. Memphis's offense seams pretty balanced.
This would still be funny if it had happened every season since.
And thus I really don't get why Andrew Ford left.
I could get behind those being our new uniforms with the updated Nike fitting. I agree - I really like that orange on the shoulders.

Yeah, I looked at that today. Everything is booked already within an hour radius.
And Ford caught the game tying TD TWICE. That sure looked like a catch on 3rd and 2.
Defense had a handful of mistakes, yet UNC has another 2/3 TDs without spectacular efforts from a bunch of kids. Football is a cruel game. Williams made some mistakes, but he made 3 or 4 unbelievable plays on possession downs, every one of them on UNC scoring drives in regulation. The option pitch on 4th down was a spectacular play.
Some folks will never be happy unless you are 12-0 and every game is a 40-10 type of score. I am sick about the loss. However, to say that the kids played poorly, especially compared to the ECU film? That is LAUGHABLE.
