I saw it stated by someone on Twitter (with a slightly different annotated version of the seismograph) that it was "crowd catches sight of Beamer," which I assume is the moment they put him and the team on the big screen as they left the practice facility. The place went nuts.
Anyone else think it's crazy Fuente played college ball at the same time as Vick?
And their offense was awful a lot last year. I remember a BC game when they looked like us.
Well would you look at that, I always thought he was offense, I guess you just assume with all the Big 12 coaches- Art Briles, Kliff Kingsbury. I guess that speaks louder for Fuente's accomplishments.

Especially if when he asks Whit why he's not getting the offer, one of the reasons cited is lack of HC experience. Wouldn't you think that would motivate him to go get a HC position, regardless of what level, just to build up his resume to one day realize his dream of being a HC?
They had the best defense in the country last year though.

# | More Chatter About Memphis' Justin Fuente as next Virginia Tech Head Coach I'll disagree with Clemson - it's one of the reasons I'm so high on Morris. Last year they lost Watson to injury (and their OC), and they still managed to kick the shit out of Oklahoma.
Not bad in WR just different types of offense. Ford is much better than 40 something nationally. Hate to harp on Boyd but he is also around 40 Nationally statistically in yards. But I doubt you find 5 WR that will be drafted head of him. Talent doesn't always get fully utilized because of scheme. That's why VT has DL and DT that although the Defense finishes high statistically they don't get drafted or if so not very high.

Regardless of whether we keep Jackson, I think by 2017 our QB situation is going to be just fine.
Bud has repeatedly shown no interest in G5 or FCS HC openings. Unless Maryland or someone similar come calling I doubt he leaves for a HC gig

Ralph Friedgen is the fan favorite, but it's hard to ignore the recruiting success Doug Marrone and Butch Davis have had.
Jackson leaving would be a huge detriment for us. That means that come 2017 Lawson would have either a true freshman (to be recruited) or a walk on Jack Click backing him up.
I'd say it ended after the David Wilson era.
I do miss some of Stiney's play action pass plays. They were beautiful, Tyrod, even Sean Glennon could make those look pretty. We even played more than two tight ends back then. Oh the Jeff King days.
