Yeah, let's put this into perspective.
Our game started at 12:03. The USC/Oregon game was scheduled for 3:30, and probably kicked off a couple of minutes later. The beginning of that game had to get bumped over to ESPNEWS...which had another ACC game scheduled for 3:45. According to hokiesports.com, our game didn't end until 3:52, which means that third game was probably bumped to ESPN3 only for the beginning.
Expecting to see the postgame festivities was asking a bit much, unless our game ended significantly before 3:30.
Now, they probably could have done our pregame and postgame festivities as an ESPN3 online only deal...
That's a young 62 though. Cutcliffe is 61 and he feels 5+ years older than Miles.
But it's a valid point. I'm expecting no matter who we have, 5 years may be all we get out of them.

I think it was actually more like Grimes brought Loeffler with him. I think Grimes was definitely the biggest/most exciting hire we made back in 2013.
Sort of. They were both fired from Auburn after working together for one year. Then Grimes left after one year.
It's not at all the same - Worsham essentially paid a one time fee. M&T Bank has a living contract that details more than just a stadium name.
That being said, we absolutely should not rename Worsham field.

There is no way it is Butch Jones. He has pulled in a couple of top ten recruiting classes at Tennessee and the team was within a few 4th quarter last minute losses from having an excellent record. The team is very young and should see a breakthrough back into the top 25 next year, based on players returning, players maturing and greater depth. Bristol will probably set the tone for a very good season for Butch. UT is in the best SEC division, right now anyway, to make a run at the playoffs in the next few years. Oh, and Tennessee could easily top any offer Va Tech puts on the table, in the event Butch is even interested. Unfortunately, financial support from Hokies is below where it should be compared to our peers.
I hope we snag a young rising star if the choice is not Foster (+ a new O staff).

I was interested in MIles until I realized how old he is (62). I don't want to have to hear constant retirement speculation and be going through this again in 5 years.
I think the problem with Bucky is a combination of too many snaps plus often running longer routes than most TEs. In other words I think he is sometimes just plain gassed. Maybe the bottom line is conditioning.
And maybe the occasional lack of 100% effort is partly due to his size. I forget, how tall is he? Seems like they may have mentioned his height during the game.
They have other commitments, they can't spend 15 minutes showing the things we did for Beamer. Plus, they were put us on national TV for this game. I think some of the things ESPN does are not great, but the anti-ESPN circle-jerk here is pretty childish.
What part of BC's current offense makes you think Loeffler didn't help out significantly at Temple? BC is absolutely lighting up opponents on offense this year aren't they? /s
If LSU fires Miles, and they go after an established coach (like Jimbo Fisher), this will set off a domino effect of vacancies. Say Jimbo is hired away from FSU, and the FSU job becomes open. That job would definitely take away some of the best targets out there.
Apparently, we already have a deal done with someone though, so this series of events may not even matter. It's looking more and more like Chip Kelly will be back in the college ranks somewhere at season's end too. I'm willing to bet USCw will hold out as long as possible and wait on him.
To further your point, the offensive coordinators play calling is absolutely essential in overtime. A negative play on first down can be the difference between a touchdown and a win, or field goal and a loss. Our overtime record has been abysmal under Loeffler's tenure (1-4), and I have to wonder if it is symbolic of his failures in crucial endgame decision making.

I'm interested in Miles for VT. Not over Richt or Herman, but over Morris (who seems the most likely choice now).
Still very easrly in the year but it sounds like it might be a little closer to coming together. I like what I have seen so far, which is improvement every game.
I think Logan's first in-game action was lining up at TE and catching a TD from Tyrod.
