Also, this photo has been passed around. Full grown adult bunker on left, 20+ bass on right:
Pops put a 33" bass in the boat last week, and it was considered a baby... Didnt even bother to take a picture bacause it was "small"
I know the athletic department is separate, I just find it comical that in April LSU was on the verge of filing "academic bankruptcy" but a $17 mil buyout isn't a big deal.

Bucky transferred to Austin Peay?
You jersey folks have been holding out info... how bout an invite sometime? Hahahahaha.
yep- SE winds slowed it down. I bet unless they go south, it will turn on with the NE wind later this week.

That link has all the video weigh in's. Biggest was a 38 pounder caught yesterday on Bunker at Gillikens in IBSP.
If Miles became available, he would be a strong candidate at USC'w (he used to coach at Colorado under Coach Mac and recruited SoCal) or Texas.
You got a source for that striper info? Pretty sure north of LBI is where you want to be right now. IBSP is hot, and Manasquan inlet boats are blowing up the bass between the inlet and IBSP. Check the last 3 days for this boat:

Of course, it finally cooled down today, but the last half week has been about as stellar as it gets. I will be out either wednesday or friday next week depending on weather window.

Just received a nice surprise, my nephew just called and invited me to game. 50 yard line tickets!
As a balker allow me to explain.
I think miles is a great motivator and recruiter. He's a fine head coach who enjoys great success because he's in a position where he can basically just be himself and stockpile talent. I balk because I think he'd have to work a lot harder at VT and wouldn't enjoy some of the advantages he's made such great use of in Louisiana.
I also think VT really needs great QB play in order to be successful. I haven't seen a decent QB at LSU since Matt Flynn.
Are LSU fans crazy? Absolutely, but not just for wanting to get rid of him. Is he right for VT? I'm not so sure.
Les, like Richt, I think would be a pretty good hire. I still want a younger guy with less miles though

He's getting 2/3 star recruits at Memphis, with only one (now two after this season) year of high-level success. If he stays it's fair to say that his recruiting will likely pick up considerably. Coming to Tech would only help with that.
We shall see.
I agree. Les leaving LSU hurts us way more than it helps. How many times have we discussed on this board how the next coach needs to be younger and re-energize this program/boost recruiting? Les is 62, so you have to wonder how many more years he's going to want to coach. I think it would definitely be a huge splash, but realistically, we're going to be doing this again in 3-5 years. Would it be worth it? I'm not sure. I do know that an LSU opening is going to reduce our pool of top candidates.
Yes it 100% is
Hey Les. If you come to Tech, we'll name a stadium dorm after you
flip side of that coin: if they fire Miles, is the LSU job more attractive than ours? Is it possible firing him actually keeps us from getting our first choice (assuming Miles doesn't become our first choice).
Adamantium #marinades --> Wolverine --> Michigan --> RichRod.
Well shit! We're through the looking glass here people.
Until he does what he did during the USCe game again. Fedora has a high floor but low ceiling. VT would win 8-10 wins every year under him but I think miss out on any real chance at playoffs or NY6 bowls.
Fuente knows how to use the kids around him.
The same used to be said about Frank. But not being the best recruiter can catch up with you.
Also, coaching ability and recruiting ability are not mutually exclusive

How so? - This year, UNC will have a to win two more games (either VT or NCSU, and Clemson) to get to a NY6 bowl. That doesn't seem very improbable.
Edit: UNC could also be in the ACCCG without a win over VT or NCSU, if Pitt loses to either Louisville or Miami. I would guess using the amazing Joelestra probability analysis, that Fedora has somewhere around 30-35% chance to make a NY6 bowl this year.
