I think Zeke is a great talent, he was unstoppable in those last three games. However, that 100+ against us was truly misleading with the 80 yard run that should have been called back. Don't get me wrong I don't think it would have changed the outcome of the game at all, but it did skew his stats.
If the DBs are turning for the ball, then they're gonna get pulled or burned. TG technique is to put their hands in when the receiver goes to catch...
don't believe he RS'd due to that injury. He RS'd because he was a freshmen.
WR Development, Bucky stepping up, emergency of at least 1 RB, continued OL cohesion, DL pressure/sacks, LB gap assignment/tackling, DBs covering and turning for the ball.
Is that the city of Chicago flag?
We're not ranked, this game won't show up on ESPN.
wow, I completely disagree. I prefer to see our 1st string dominate and have a huge lead by halftime, so our 2nd string can play 2nd half, and either 1 or 2 of our backup QBs play or split time the 2nd half. Either top 2 or all 3 of our QBs need to use this game to get a little experience under their belts. I have no problem with platooning QBs either, like we did in the past with Glennon/Tyrod. It is the best way to make sure we can compete in remaining games in case one QB gets injured. If you only have Motley playing entire game, then if he gets injured, we almost assuredly will lose that game bringing in completely untested backups. Based on our current situation, we need more than one QB with true game experience going into ACC play...
More Jukin' Sam, please!
You know, it's hilarious to me to see this gif. We were playing tetherball often all weekend before the game.
On point 4, yes yes yes. I want to see DBU put up 3+ INT's.
Hate to say it but I want to blowout Furman! Need to get some of our own highlights goin on ESPN

Utah State at Utah -13.5

MLB- somebody else plays a majority of the snaps. Coaches award starts according to practice performance, fine...as soon as he starts struggling again (he will), somebody else is in to get reps and try to fix the issue.
QB- 200 Yards passing for the TWO quarterbacks that must play in this game (Motley and whoever)
RB- 100 yards on less than 15 carries for at least 2 backs.
70-0
Did I say you did?
Cracks me up seeing all the love for Loeffler. I've liked him from the start and never understood all the calls for sacking him, considering what he was working with.
We had a chance against OSU. I was hoping for the best and Lefty and our staff had us in a position to win the game. Then the one thing that couldn't happen, did.
If things don't turn out the way we all want them to, I hope everyone will remember that up until Brewer's injury, we were within 4 points of the national champion and unanimous no. 1 team in the nation. Someone deserves some credit for getting us there.
Guess what? Sometimes the game plan has to hinge on one or two players. Oftentimes, the quarterback is one of those players. How far up a creek would Stanford have been without Andrew Luck a few years ago? Or Baylor without RG3? Or Oregon without Mariota? Or OSU without... well... bad example, but you get the point. The OSU game plan revolved around being able to hit timing routes to the TEs and FB, which Motley evidently wasn't very comfortable with. So no, we didn't have a great plan for if Brewer went down, but few teams in college football will look very good playing OSU when their starting QB goes down in the 3rd quarter. Unfortunately, that's a spot where you kinda just have to say, "hope he hangs in there." Center is another one. No amount of planning made Chung as good at setting protections and snapping the ball as Gallo on Monday, when he had to come in for a play. As a coach, you work with what you've got. I'm not sure why you're looking for problems when there are clearly bigger problems.
Duke and Elliott are two different RBs... two different sizes...etc.,etc. Both great backs. Not sure Elliott justified deviating from the bear. IMHO he didn't show it yesterday. If he were 225lb size and moved like Duke, I could see it.
Your QB was the difference maker. Would have like to have seen the bear with 1)a DE vs inexperienced OLB, 2) taking the QB at the pitch, and 3) a better reading MLB.
Still not sure that having a QB with a NFL arm, Roethlesburger size, movement, strong jetsweeper, nice WR targets, and a very good college RB are stoppable with any scheme. To me ... the most unique and difficult guy to scheme against is the QB.
Unfortunately we'll never know.... we'll need a miracle QB arrival (could happen) for us to show up late in the season with one defeat.
Shut out... defense play with an edge. Last one was Bowling Green 37-0 in 2012. (If you bring up that game that didn't happen last year and say anything about an end of regulation shut out you are dead to me.)
Those kinds of studies are severely flawed though, because they don't account for uncalled penalties. Who cares if Team A gets called for 1 less penalty than Team B if they commit the same # of actual violations. The problem is when Team A commits 15 penalties but is only called for 7 or 8.
A great example is the holding that OSU got away with on several plays Monday night, including a blatant hold on Dadi Nicolas on Elliot's 80 yard TD run.
Secondary reverting to form. I'll believe it when I see it that facyson is "back to his old self" don't get me wrong his freshman year I almost preferred him to Kendall but I haven't seen it yet.
Also wanna see motu improve A LOT we need that mike spot figured out desperately.
Finally a good composed qb play the line ought to give whoever is in there plenty of time and I'd like to be up enough to see all 3 qbs in some way shape or form

Totally agree on all 3 of your comments
