now to wonder if our bowl chances are gone for this year?
Have we already lost 7 games? Man, the season really flies by.
Would it be a surprise to find out Yosh graded out highest for the OSU game!? I still think McLaughlin grades higher, but after the game I wouldn't be surprised if Nijman was 2nd highest.
so frustrating to know that vt could have hung with OSU and made a game out of it. hell, maybe even won. not many opportunitys like that come to blacksburg. it's a real shame, to not be able to live up to potential that this team has (or had).

Yeah, except that we were leading that game after 45:00, not just after 30:00.
Could Lawson play a quarter or two this week and keep the redshirt if that is all he plays or is the shirt burned with just one play?

don't know what our deal is with not getting great LB's lately but that department needs to be fixed now. I'm sure Bud will.
Is our weakness at LB a function of moving too many guys to DE and other positions? Or do we just not recruit good high school LBs?
Am secretly hoping that he is back for the NC State game as it will be on a big stage for Friday night. Also, it is the one game that I get to attend this year!
3-9 last year, played a good FCS team close last week in Coastal Carolina, but they are still an FCS team with a losing record.
Furman is... kinda bad.
I do think our "DBU" needs a bit of work, they may have ate up too much hype in the pre-season. I am optimistic about the rest of the schedule.
And up from 2.6 ypc a year ago, without Shai available. Marked improvement.
It's hard to throw a bullet when you just got done breaking a tackle and are still running away from the LB whose tackle you broke.

Having all three QBs see significant playing time over the next few weeks is a bad idea in my opinion, even if it is Furman and Purdue. Let 1 guy take the majority of the snaps, and try to get him in a rhythm. If all three split the snaps 33% it will be hard to see who can develop the best rhythm with the offense.
In my opinion, Lawson should get the most playing time with Motley backing him up. UNLESS Motley (or any of the QBs for that matter) catches fire this (short) week in practice.
I think I was expecting too much from the helmets. They didn't really look quite like I'd thought they would. Nothing wrong with them, though!
Yep, but when Cardale did it in the first drive of the game nobody seemed to think much of it.
