I'll be willing to call our attendance issues over as soon as I see us fill at least 80% of the seats for kickoff on Saturday.
"We don't surrender 42 points if Brewer was in the game until the end. I'm not saying we would have won (though I'll go to my grave believing it; just a hunch I have) but the offense was moving the ball."
- Right there with you. Brewer was in control, knew what he was doing and was executing; plus, hearing Scot's comments about being excited for the 2nd half ... I think they could have pulled it out. Too bad my wife is a buckeye + will never believe it.
He did try that one year...2009? if I remember right...seems like Josh Nesbit? was the Jackets QB... the idea was, the MLB got off his block, and hammered the QB at LOS...but Motu doesn't look to be that kind of player...and it didn't work..."superior athletic ability," I believe was the key phrase there...
Tyrod was also a 5 star recruit that is about to begin his 5th season in the NFL. No shade at Motley but he's a local kid from Christiansburg that had 3 scholarship offers. Not a fair comparison, if you ask me.
Losing your starting QB in the first game when the rest of the team might be the best we've had in many years is just about the most Hokie thing ever.

Kids these days, rabble rabble.
I agree, the issue is...how? Let Brax and Thomas run around in a zone? I think, with the 4DL look we could have...I just think of the way it would be done...
Personal opinion, but I'd rather Cardale run the ball than Elliott. More hits on the QB and not nearly as lethal of a runner, just a big body to take down.
Backups coming in for the injured starter and not excelling is the rule, not the exception.
A fair point on the other skill players, but let's not pretend that Barrett is really a second-string QB.
I hear you, Whitman, but I was hoping that Bud would have adjusted out of it after being burned so many times.
Just give him 20000 calories a day so he can keep gaining weight :)
Or at the very least, the Michael Phelps diet...
A New York Post account of Phelps's... wait for it... 12,000-calorie-a-day diet, gave us a stomachache. Could one human being really consume that much and still be in Phelps's shape? And could this possibly be healthy for Phelps, even considering his five-hours-a-day, six-days-a-week exercise regimen?
That's only about 2 Big Macs and a litre of cola.
I'm actually graduating this spring so I've got the whole season in front of me
They did bench their starting QB (and other starting skill players) with 10:43 left in the game.
Try that in ATL and the bumble bees might run for 600 yds.
It was the NORM to stand on top of those bleachers the entire game, not just Enter Sandman.
I did too. That 2nd and goal from Trey really soured me on him. I expect Shai will take his carries quickly.
Took a personal day today to recuperate from last night. Re-watching the game. Dang, Dadi Nicolas is a good pass rusher. Seen a couple times where he TORCHED RG Pat Elflein who is one of the best guards in the country. Elflein had some nice plays but Dadi just blew up some plays. He's really undersized so he didn't bring big Cardale down...But you're not going to see a QB that big that often. Think Dadi's gonna have a big season.
nailed it.. I wouldn't be mad if we gave McMillian some more work too.. He almost took one to the house and looked very very quick in space and making his cuts.
Guaranteed this was a matter of people standing/ jumping on the actual benches. Source: I was doing it.
Security just needs to make sure people aren't on top of the benches
I am not sure, how you figured to get the extra 6 pts beyond what aOSU earned on the field last night.
Is it bad that I'm proud to hear this, especially after all the attendance issues we've had recently?
Think he was more talking about no one to blame for Brewer's injury, not the loss itself.

Trust me, you don't want that albatross. Their fans are the absolute worst I've come across. It's a good, big and intense fanbase...But they have this insecurity complex and they're always trying to prove to you that they're the best program and best fans in the history of the world.
Been to Happy Valley twice. They will just walk up to you and dump a beer on your head, gang up on you and try to steal things from you, rip your apparel off of you, throw bags of piss at your band, etc. It's ridiculous...especially because they're not even sustainably good. The first time I went there I was involved in literally 7 different physical alterations with their fans (a couple of which stalked me throughout the day in the tailgate area. it was a night game with Gameday there in the morning, so festivities we're going throughout the day). Got back to our car after we lost to see it'd been egged and people tried to remove our license plates. What's crazy is those animals were even more tolerable than the non aggressive fans who (completely unsolicited) come seek out Ohio State fans to tell us all about why Joe Paterno is God and that they're the greatest program of all time. I learned the term "mythical national championship" that day because like 12 different people listed them off for me. The WORST.
