I am interested in hearing more about these knick knacks.
Brilliant. Leg for you.
You mean GT's triple option offense? We've dealt with that before..

# | Virginia Tech Defensive Media Session: A very newsworthy chat with Bud Foster No because I guarantee you Bud is just the only person who has said something like this out loud. Coaches all over the country are probably changing their opinions since they likely had similar thoughts. Everyone is looking for a new form of motivation for their players to follow the rules and succeed. Money is a strong motivator and so it's only natural that coaches everywhere were thinking about this.
It isn't that they aren't getting compensated. It's that they aren't getting market value. It's probably only true for 10% of football players, but nonetheless.
Getting a hell of an opportunity that most of us had to/or are still paying for
You don't have a skill as valuable as them. Why should they be compared to you?
That has been my reaction to the controversy, most specifically in the NFL. They know the risks and no one is forcing them to be there.
Foster will undoubtedly be playing some version of aggressive coverage (I'd be shocked to see two deep safetys besides obvious passing downs), bear front or not. Regardless if he has 2 tackles covering the center, the best way to beat this OSU team is to sell out on the inside run. Take your chances with our depleted wr depth. Problem is Wisconsin tried that last year, and couldn't stop either.
I expect to see Urban employ more option/slash passing into the week one playbook. Look out fro what Auburn has run the past few years where the QB reads the DE and can either hand off to the HB, cut upfield himself or pass to the outside receiver. It's a tough play to defend and we have ran it only a handful of time under Urban.

# | Bitter blog - Babcock offers clarification on player fines, shuts down entire practice That's one of the single greatest things I've ever seen in my life. I want this to be real.
So am I the only one that read the headline as Whit shutdown football practice and not the practice of fines?? I read the headline and was like WTF?!?! But then read the article and was like "OOOhhhhhhh....the practice of fines...."
It's mostly a # of occurrences issues. On a separate trip to UNC they booed the MVs as we took the field. I'm talking the majority of the stadium.
I've experienced bad Bama fans on game day, as well as Tennessee, UVA, even VT fans (witnessed anyways), but UNC is on another level.
Great job on the vinyl work on this...looks SWEET!!!
...Except that Bud is saying Dadi is a little more than dinged up.
And with Settle, we can go Super Jumbo.
That's not how it works. Mike Barber was savvy enough to notice something resembling a fining system and asked about it. That's good journalism and a perfectly fair question. To avoid the negative press, Bud's response should have been along the lines of "that's something to ask Coach Beamer about" wrapped up in a polite smile. Media asks questions, coaches, admins and players decide on how much to divulge. That's the game.
In the words of PETA: "As long as he's throwing a football..."
My father-in-law told me about a friend of his visiting VT for a UNC football game. Said he was cursed at and spit on for no reason in the bathroom. Everyone has stupid a-hole fans, some more than others. Let's take it with a grain of salt, salt goes good on almost everything.
They would if they could find a way to do so. I had one of the worst game experiences of my life last time I went down to UNC for a game. I stood and sung along when they played the National Anthem as part of the pre-kick ceremonies. The group behind says "oh great, we have to deal with an annoying Hokie again." I let that slide and I cheered as I normally would during the game. At halftime one of the police officers pulls me over to the side and gave me a "warning" because there had been formal complaints for "cheering too loud." I wasn't full blown Lane Stadium losing my mind cheering either. I knew I was a visitor and felt I handled my self very appropriately.
My distaste for UNC is stronger than it is for loluva. Those clowns are stuck so far up their own ass that they stick their nose up to the playing of the National Anthem. Pathetic.
Everyone keeps saying that but yet RG3 is the only one who keeps getting sacked. The real problem is he has the pocket presence and instincts of a dead duck, and has no idea how to protect himself or the football when getting hit.
mixed metaphor man, is that you?
I don't give these folks the time of day. At this point, they're less animal lovers and more people haters. And I wonder how many of those signatures are from actual "fans" of the Steelers.
I also think its funny that, although we have a right to petition the government, people think they can petition anything and it will work. I doubt the Steelers organization even give this any merit.
I highly doubt it.
I think for a year or two at least, he needs CFB to hang around long enough so this is completely forgotten IMO
Kind of Hypocritical if you think about it. If my mind serves me right Ben was on the wrong side of the law a few times.
They are definitely apple and oranges in this case but don't throw stones unless you are willing to get hit yourself.

You are not alone.
