Is there a game in this somewhere? are there rules and points or is just a mosh pit with a bubble on?
My theory is that its because the OL has had several series to get up to playing speed of the game. When they first start the game, they get out manned and can't keep RG3 upright. It's more of a reflection on the OL / OL staff than anything else, and no I don't have #sources, so take it with a large pinch of salt.

Belly floppers were sprints up and down the field, every time you heard a whistle you did an up-down and got back up to keep running. It was almost worse mentally waiting on the whistle as you run. They'd blow it four or five times in quick succession then wait, and as you ran down the field, you know it's going to come, but don't know when, and it's awful.
One big thing to note is that Cinci as a G5 school is not required to even OFFER a COA stipend, the rule change enforced by O'Bannon only applied tot he P5, so Cinci, ECU, and the rest since they don't have to offer anything to start can probably just as easy justify taking it away.

I think that factor is wildly overstated to be honest.
It's reflected by their fans. I had an older UNC fan threaten to SPIT on one of my rank members when I was there with the MVs several years ago. Her reason for such a threat? We were where their band was supposed to be before the game (we were there waiting for their band to join us so we could rehearse for a joint military appreciation halftime show).
Also had them trying to trip some of our members as we were marching towards the stadium. UNC has by far the worst fans I've ever experienced.
I won't lie, when I read the news I did have a small celebration. Not because a player was injured, but because OSU wouldn't have such potent deep threat to let Urban run his favorite offense and stretch the field. Strategically this lets Bud skew heavily to run defense with less risk on the passing side. I hope Brown makes a full recovery and reaches his full potential, but I feel better going into this game knowing the over-the-top plays just got much harder for the Buckeyes.
A college football head coach has to be able to do some politician speak when needed. Whether or not the media is being fair, you can't put yourself in a position like that. At this point in his career he should know better.

But do they restrict buying tickets to the game and being loud in the stadium?
