No doubt, but less than 10% is pretty amazing.

Time to go find some brick walls to run through...

Well done as always!
I remember watching the game last year and being so frustrated that we couldn't get y'all off the field. Especially on 3rd and long. Brewer made great plays to keep things alive, but your WRs were making some really tough catches. It was a gutsy performance to say the least.
I just looked at the stats and you were 9-17 on 3rd down. Not remarkable, but a lot of those were 3rd and long and came at crucial times.
I could be wrong about this, but I think the problem with Nebraska is simply a numbers issue. There just aren't that many kids in the state. I believe like Kansas they play a lot of 7-man football in the high schools because there simply aren't enough kids to field 11-man teams. So they're forced to recruit out of state. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Now they've compromised and removed that line from this year's package.
I would expect the trend towards national recruiting.
At the same time, I'd expect VT to do better in the 757 that it has been, and that might be improving.
While advances in communication make it easier to recruit over a broader region, you'd think kids would still like their family to be able to come to their games. In choosing a college, students can travel across the U.S. if they want, but I think most still look first within their region.
Our 4th down QB star rating is rating is rivaling our actual QB star rating
at this point only time will tell. I think the only thing that EVERYONE is completely in agreement on is that if there is no progress this year SL should be sent packing. I'm just hoping he proves his critics wrong. Given his colorful history it appears he has quite the mountain to climb. We shall see.
The game of the century, how much you wanna bet regulation ends 0-0. *ducks
Hands down, my favorite trailer. Just...superb.
I'm so ready for labor day
Yes, it would tip them off, but also force them to change their defensive approach. With JT you need to defend the pass 40 yards down field. With Cardale, it's more like 60+. With JT you have to think run inside or out, especially off of inside/outside read-option concepts. With Cardale, you think more straight ahead run off of power zone/counter action.
The downside to changing QB's during the game is the potential loss of rhythm and momentum you can have. The upside is the Ohio State QB's get hit more than the average bear running the offense, and you can spread that contact out and reduce the odds of injury. Although, when Cardale is rumbling downfield, I worry more about the health of the guys coming up to hit him than I do him getting hurt. Still, one perfectly timed hit on the wrong body part of JT or Cardale will make Braxton Miller a back-up QB.
It will be really interesting to see how that plays out on Labor Day.
Ummm...this is just kinda weird...
Love that Timecop was taken off. And I bet the stadium is the VT game.
That's insane.
I don't know the source of your statistics, but the one for Virginia Tech doesn't match the one from the Virginian-Pilot article.
I'm assuming that by VTech you meant Virginia Tech?
Stanford is a well-known private school, so I'm not surprised about that, but I am surprised by that number for Nebraska.

Very haunting! I need a new pair of underwear. +1

Brewer was at his peak efficiency during the OSU game last year, I want to say something like 75% 3rd down conversion rate heading into the 4th quarter. Maybe we capture lightning in a bottle again.
Where did you get a LOT of these shots?!
Also, love the two shots of Beamer friggin losing it on the sidelines, and then him giving the fist bump too.
yes, grip your pillow tight
First if I ever run into any of you at a tailgate or downtown Blacksburg I owe you a few beers! Wow, all these videos are great! However, VTimHokie85 this gave me chills, from the beginning to the very end with Enter Sandman... wow I do hope the coaches get a hold of some of these videos to share with the team! Go Hokies! Excited for the whole season!!

Doubt he wants his name tied to this story anymore than it already is.
