That might be a bit too stressful to induce sleep.
You should probably take a minute and read the article.
Never read it here
I empathize with Al Gore here.
*edited because empathy and emphasis are not the same thing, regardless of what my iPad thinks*
I didn't read the article but if the players are having trouble sleeping at night, they aren't wearing them out enough at practice. I slept like a baby during football season in my younger days.
I think a huge distinction needs to be made. Lawson can redshirt and sit on the sideline, send signals to the QB, and be dressed and ready to play. By saying that he shouldn't redshirt, the OP must be saying that he should actually see playing time. I don't see that happening at all unless he proves he can be a starter. He's not worth it for just a small set of situational plays.
yes, bburg has uber. Not sure if there are enough drivers to handle the OSU game, though
This is a joke right? It's all part of our imagination right?

Southern country culture, and the stereotypical 'southern pride' not so subtle racist people that come with them
How exactly does this have anything to do with Brad Paisley? I don't know very much about him but I don't think any of this statement fits any sort of narrative with Brad Paisley...
I'm interested in hearing more of your thoughts on why Lawson shouldn't be redshirted. I have been of the mindset that he needs bring something to the table that Brewer, Motley, or Durkin don't in order to play this year. We all know Brewer is QB1. I don't want Motley out there running the wild turkey package this year: if Brewer goes down, we're going to absolutely need him to be healthy, so I don't see why we would risk injury to our primary backup. Durkin would be my choice to run that package, assuming all things equal between him and Lawson. I'm a little surprised that he lost so much weight over this offseason, though. And if you said he was limping a bit, I'm concerned about his durability somewhat. He was injured last year in camp while it was rumored he might run the wild turkey last year, and he injured his shoulder and missed part of the spring.
So, in your opinion, do you think Lawson would be more effective than Durkin in that role? I'm all for getting our best guys on the field, but I don't want to burn a redshirt if Durkin can perform just as well in that capacity.

Can someone pull me into town from Salem? On a serious note, does Bburg have uber yet, or should I plan on riding in the mystery mobile Hoopty?
I agree with dmt260. He barely made it to tech because of grades. Redshirt him and let the young man settle in his freshman year and get some decent grades under his belt. Both he and VT will be better off for it in the future.
They asked Pat Summit for her advice.
I am just hoping both teams leave the game with no injuries. Both teams want the win badly.
aOSU wants the win to get revenge for the blemish on last years record.
VT wants to win to show it wasn't a fluke.
Very few people knew about the songbook version with this song. It's not fair to lump band members and band alumni into the same group as the people who were responsible and those who knew and did nothing.
Sooooo...if you are using that analogy, are we to infer that the Buckeyes spent more time preparing and focusing on Navy then they did Virginia Tech?
Again, that would be bad coaching, overestimating an opponent, or a combination of both. I don't think its that far fetched to suggest that VT spent a lot of time game planning for Ohio St. in the Shoe (and clearly put the time to good use), and ended up being defeated by a team that exploited a matchup using their big physical receivers against a shorthanded defensive backfield with Facyson injured.

FTFY.
And don't you forget it!
Im stoked if it becomes official. Been to a couple of his concerts and he puts on an awesome show. His tour dates online have the exact order from the t-shirt. Where they have Blacksburg, VA on it is where there is a gap in his tour. I can only guess it's not on there because they were trying to keep it on the DL and it was a somewhat of a last minute decision to have him.
LMAO, I was hoping one of you clever kids would find that old Simpsons gif...
This was an awesome day for me! First time on the field and the first time
I've gotten to see the tunnel and touch the Hokie Stone! I can't believe
it took this long. Mad props to VT football for doing this event it was
a great day!!
You do know that there was far more than one version of the songbook.. yes most band members knew about songbooks but not the version with this song. Most songbooks were somewhat inappropriate and made mockeries of other B1G fight songs.. other B1G bands have similar songbooks. For an example of one of these songs click the link and scroll down
wow..... lol

It is perfectly correct to call out this behavior and condemn it, but what is not correct is to unfairly make it seem as if it was a large part of OSUMB culture when it was not. How would you feel if you were a recent alumni of the OSUMB having to face judgement, scutiny, and answer questions for something you had no knowledge of and had nothing to do with. It's not about condoning the actions at all.. it's about keeping the condemnation specific to the actual people who had something to do with it. It disgusts me that my friends' names are being dragged through the mud.
