And that's the thing. It isn't known what happened, and maybe it should be known. How are other students going to know where that line is to not cross when you're not willing to disclose what happened. How are students going to accurately argue their own case when they're not allowed to know about any precedents that have previously been set? The proceedings of what happens with this council should be public record the second they are finalized.

I guess I'm just saying that I can understand that busts happen, and mistakes get made on the field. Especially when you're learning a new offense.
But for coaches not to make adjustments to what someone else is doing in game to take advantage of your tendencies is mind-blowing to me. I just can't fathom how that can be allowed to happen. Even the Wake lb seems shocked we didn't adjust.
All I know is that it was Brady's camp all along that was threatening court. The court will demand the information on the phone. If he was innocent he destroyed his own evidence and further cast doubt on an already subjective argument. A tie goes to the league I would think, so in a way, the burden of proof shifts to the player. If he had proof and didn't use it at the league's due process level, I would think the court would agree that they arrived at this situation due mostly to the lack of cooperation by Brady.
We don't know what happened in this case, apparently nothing criminal, and he gets dismissed from the school by the student council? Remember Michael Holmes a few years back? Now, we did get the facts there, he got involved in a fight. But IIRC it was a pretty big surprise when the student council dismissed him as well. I fully appreciate student athletes being held to a higher standard than the normal student, but some of these cases seem extreme in their punishment (we'll have to wait and see if we ever find out what the facts are in case with CJ). It's just my opinion.

I mean, these kids' legal/academic issues don't really need to be public knowledge. But I agree, I too am very curious about what he did.
Maybe I'm missing your point but no one knows what he did.... For all we know, the council didn't release any information about it out of respect for the kid. If the lawyer and/or CJ wanted the information to be known, we'd know about it by now.
Im so confused. Originally I wanted to be furious at Reavis. Now I want to be furious at the council. But I have absolutely no information so I have to idea where to aim my frustration...somebody help?

I kind of hope that this goes to the courts. The council at Tech always tended to rub me the wrong way, and the fact that it sounds like he's expelled from a public university on the grounds of something that legal courts wouldn't touch... I don't know, that's not right.
Hope this sets a precedence and I hope this allows for the proceedings of this council to be more transparent. When you're talking about a council that can legitimately impact the future of anyone on campus, it needs to be as transparent a council as it gets, and the members need to be held publicly accountable for anything that they decide.

They SHOULD get credit for Notre Dame, since it's a good team, and it's OOC, even if it's part of the rotation agreement.

I am grappling with this, too. I appreciate individual privacy protections, but to me, if a student is dismissed from a public university, then the record of that fact and the proceedings should be public for holding the school accountable, as well as for public oversight of the students' rights.
